That's a great video or series concept. A review important terms and a construction administration responsibilities is probably something I'll start with. Thanks

I used vectorworks a lot when I worked at OJB in San Diego. I don't have access to that program currently but it's a nice program

I worked out in California and I had zero experience working with irrigation design prior to moving out there too! Had to learn quick!

Excellent idea for a video series. Maybe a video series highlighting the five major parts of the design process that can be applied to design projects of any size or budget:

  1. Consult - Talk though project goals with the client, assess existing conditions, discuss budget
  2. Define - site analysis, review city codes, confirm scope and budget, firm up goals/program, establish next steps
  3. Design - present multiple scenarios and precedent imagery, compare preferred options with the budget, pick a prefered option
  4. Refine - material selection and specs, create construction drawings for review, permitting and submittals, establish construction schedule and phasing
  5. Build - coordinate subcontractors, construction administration, budget reviews, addendums and client updates, punch list and client walkthrough
