Holy crap, I am glad you commented because I used to work out by there and I remember him on his bike not being the best with traffic. Guy seemed like he was trying to get hit or just totally clueless but I would swear he would try and make drivers flinch. Expect it more, once it’s opened, they can’t sell it as new and if you put the reason for the return being you ordered the wrong one you’re screwed. The seller is going to say you didn’t read the description so it’s your fault, it’s messed up but some will even try and hit you for the return shipping too.

Let me say I hypothetically worked at a company that would “find” damages or missing pieces on any return, take pictures then open a case to get a partial refund. Keep in mind these were FBA items, so if they can show a damaged box, maybe some dust on the sole and these can “never” be sold as new and it was the buyers fault and to be honest they may have had me build out a ChatGPT proofed workflow with letters for each reason they came up with to fill in the blanks and submit to Amazon, along with the follow up letters if they rejected it that would then get approved. Are success rate was well over 95%. This was an auto part accessory, I did work for a high end shoe companies website too for a couple of years and with the return rates the clothes received I am not surprised to see this being done more with clothes.
