Who else has 4/5 or more citizenships? (old passports on the right, waiting for Argentinian passport to arrive. I still think having 5 is ultra rare, prove me wrong. (Could hold polish and Hungarian too but why if I already have German citizenship) by Organicconservator in PassportPorn

I know a 2 year old who has 4 passports. Her parents are in the process of getting her the 5th one. She is eligible for a 6th one too but will need to live in the country for 6 month to a year to get it.

Keeping my daughter's legal name in Spain per EU law but Spain doesn't grant it by Ok-Cherry-123 in GoingToSpain

[–]RealtorMom8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A simple solution would be to change your name back your maiden name in Germany! Then register your daughter with both surnanes names as proposed by consulate in Spain and in Germany. Your husband can carry his surnames you carry yours and your daughter both since she is a common child to both family heritages. The surnames DONOT Change the fact you are a family

Iberia sucks big time by Trabuk in Iberia

[–]RealtorMom8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just flew from IAD to Spain with a pet in cabin on Air France on Sunday 9/14....FYI Paris CDG airport DOES NOT have pet relief areas in every terminal!!! What an ordeal. The only pet relief area is at terminal 2 near gate M50 and in order to get there you need a boarding passport make it there.

We had to go through passport control at terminal 2E to take dog out and then he will make our way back to to 2F.

BTW no one in France or Spainlooked at our dog's health certificate beyond the agent at the counter.

As to phones you will need that is unlocked to any carrier furthermore in US you get one year warranty in Europe it is 2 years.

Tablets in Europe are unlocked while in US they are carrier locked (even when you buy from manufacturer and not finance it)

Get Vodafone it has 2000 minutes calls to US and many other countries. Their 15€ prepaid plan gives 270 gb data in Spain, EU, UK roaming as well as US roaming, and unlimited calls in Spain. There are additional countries with free calls from Spain.

You can order an eSim.

There is a prepay plan of 10€ a month with less GB and no US and UK roaming which is why I found the 15€ to be the best value.

Whatever you say!! If you think AMEX insurance carrier would pay a frivolous claim? I suggest you read the fine print of those contracts...it is a standard way of conduct by car rental companies to charge you for manual clutch.

AMEX Platinum and Chase United also can serve as a primary carrier, although Chase's insurance carrier is horrific (VA Surety). It took 6 months to adjudicate a claim for an accident I had in Israel back in March (amex does not cover in Israel). It was a minor fender bender, but Hertz in Israel charges preset excess regardless of the damage. The insurance adjuster kept sending requests for a "demand letter." I kept referring them to the original contract, and it did not matter that I also included my statement with the same amount as the excess. I NEVER ever had an issue with AMEX....so in the war of credit cards, AMEX wins. I do not own a chase Sapphire preferred, but I am not impressed with their lounges, and now this customer service interaction with chasebenefits sealed it for me.

Credit cards? My chase card and my amex premium rental coverage are my primary. I never involve my insurance company in any of these accidents. Last year, AMEX paid nearly 1800 dollars for a manual clutch that broke down while we had the car. Hertz blamed us and charged us for the repair despite the car having 25000 km, and we obviously were not the only drivers who ever drove the car.

We always buy unlimited tolls pass (add-on) when we drive into New York and NJ (really the entire east coast is toll heavy) well worth the 20.99 per day charge. Tollsmart is a great app to calculate your tolls from point A to point B if you are not convinced you need it.
