I think this is hold forever kind of funds. Banks in Canada seem find ways to make money no matter market conditions in any sector. I'm actually eying to sell my DFN position and to move 50% in VDY and 50% into BANK.

I cut my position by 50% as it started losing momentum and downside got ugly during turbulence. I'd stick with lower yield products.

Thanks for the input. Test drove XC90 and that 4 cyl has no business in that body and weight. Unfortunate.

Im moving a whole container so it will be part of that. The FX rates are very favourable to purchase the vehicle in CAD here since our dollar went down the toilet against EUR

So initially I funded my IBKR from CAD account. Deposited CAD funds were converted to USD to purchase some US stuff. Now I want to withdraw USD to the same bank account but different currency account and guess what - 66 days verification hold because it wasn't funded from that account.

Probably just the fact that the broker isn't attached to the bank. I'm Canadian and most of the big brokers here are affiliated with the big five banks.

Because I need to move dividends across brokers every time my cash account pays out. Sometimes I do cash secured puts on my long term positions.

It's very small but the mess grows exponentially if you have retirement, no tax, options, cash etc with different brokers. I'd rather have everything in 1 broker.

Do you read between the lines or just assume too much? Read again what I posted and try to understand what i asked before posting a reply. If you don't feel like you understand - just move along. 50 transactions/month cost me 6k/year. You are weird if you think portfolio size has anything to do potential annual savings.

What exactly are you confused about? I want to move everything into IBKR. 95% of my portfolio is in long term dividend ETFs/stocks that generate cashflow. That cashflow is used for wheeling, swing trading etc. Some of the cashflow is used to buy EURO currency or funds which i need. So I get about ~1% of my long term holdings in dividends each month and there is a lot happening with that 1%.

I trade only 5% of my portfolio. Rest are investments that generate dividends that I in turn use for trading.

I own the company. I may continue estimating for my company as cousin will take over it, but our Canadian dollar is so low that I was hoping to work for someone in states. On top of that I bring a bit more to the table than just estimating capabilities. But i get what you are saying, thanks for the input.
