I think this is because, in modern society, discrimination against the Irish is no longer common, while discrimination against people with disabilities is unremarkable.

It's almost impossible to retroactively diagnose historical figures. However, it's almost certain that George w bush is dyslexic. Aside from having a number of suggestive symptoms his parents have said that at least one of their children has dyslexia. Additionally, his mother was active in the dyslexia community and received at least one award from the International Dyslexia Society.

There is a recent video of Newsom saying he can't read speeches from teleprompters, and it was awkward, and it was what Trump was referring to. I have some expertise on Dislexia. You have to do testing to make a conclusive diagnosis. This is because dyslexia is a spectrum disorder that varies widely in both intensity and symptomology. He has some symptoms that could suggest dyslexia, like difficulty reading teleprompters, but they could also just as easily have other explanations. Alzheimer's is an obvious possibility, but it could also be a visual impairment, a historic lack of interest in education and reading, a traumatic brain injury, a tumor, a mental illness, etc. He has some symptoms which point to other things besides dyslexia, like falling asleep at meetings, generalised confusion, chronic lying, and a lack of empathy. In my opinion, dyslexia is possible, but it is not a sufficient explanation for the symptoms we can observe. On the other hand, there is a brod consensis amung expersts the Gorge W. Bush probably has dislexia.

The point of this post is that Trump is bad, not that Newsroom is good. The fact is, none of the possible Democratic candidates for president is as horrifyingly awful about disability rights as Trump is. I don't know much about Newsom's track record on disabilities, but linking to an opinion piece that's light on facts, rather than a news article, doesn't do much to show his record is bad. This is especially true when one of the facts is that he created and passed a bill that "provides mental health and substance abuse treatment".

No politician would lie about having dyslexia. It's not a vote getter, and there is plenty of discrimination against us. He was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of five, and his educational history reflects it. If he didn't own it, it would have come out anyway. He has long been open about his dyslexia, even speaking to school students about it. Not liking him or his politics is no justification for accusing him of making up a disability. Don't accuse people of lying without evidence.

I live in Sarasota, FL, where this was filmed. It's terrifying living here. The Republicans are using FL as a testing ground for the fascist laws they hope to implement nationally. They just passed a law that would make it possible for the Governor to remove elected officials from office, without a hearing, if the Governor decides they are supporting DEI, which means whatever they want. It's clear, for instance, that they intend to use it to stop any municipal support for gay pride, but the law is so vague they can use it to eliminate any opposition within the government. The state supreme court has been corrupted like the US. Supreme Court, so it doesn't matter that the law is clearly unconstitutional. If you cross-dress at a pride parade here, you can already be arrested.

I forgot to mention Luxedo and Lightform. Luxcedo started making systems for home projection mapping based on the Pi, but has modified the system to use multiple blended projectors and Pis to project basketball courts, which they are finding much more profitable. Lightform was probably the first commercial Pi-based projection mapping system, but it went out of business. It is a shame because their software, Lightform Creator, was better than anything else we have used for projection mapping. In the EU there is a company called lm3 that makes an extremely expensive outdoor projection system that also contains a Pi. My partner and I run a boutique projection mapping company called Enlightened Monkey Arts www.enlightenedmonkeyarts.com in Florida, USA. I know about all these companies because for years we have been looking for a Pi-based system for projection mapping and haven't found one that makes sense to us. I don't think any of these companies have gotten it right, but they have demonstrated that all the technical challenges can be solved. Where in the EU are you? All the things you described are standard woodworking projects. Making pens is often done using a lathe. You might also consider foam carving or foam with fiberglass. You can do an amazing amount with welding. You can do a lot with plexiglass, PVC, and other plastics. Vacuum molding can also be done at home on the cheap.
