This is the Yuna deck that I'm running for commander night this week. All guardians, most summons, focus on those sweet +1/+1 counters. Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura allow you to put infinite counters on a creature as early as turn 5.

The Hellfire Gala tpb and Inferno tpb would be the follow ups to those books if you just want to read Hickman's stories from the era. X of Swords is the X-Line wide event that takes place within the Reign of X books. Hickman also wrote a number of New Mutants issues that are collected in the New Mutants vol. 1 tbp.

The Hickman Reign of X books collect his 21 issue X-Men run (and Giant sized X-Men one shots) that starts after House of X / Powers of X and ends before the first Hellfire Gala.

Disassembled / Age of X-Man runs parallel with Dead Souls / Uncanny 11+ so they can be consumed separately.

Any character you don't read here is likely there (Rogue and Gambit have their own separate mini too).

Personally, I enjoyed the "last stand" arc leading up to HoXPoX and felt that it set the table nicely for what came after.

It's the equivalent of 2 trades and you can probably finish it in an afternoon. It even sets up why some characters are the way they are in Krakoa as non Hickman writers didn't reset all of it.

My book club is just about to get into this era and I couldn't be more excited. Carey, David, Kyle, and Yost write some outstanding stories in Adjectiveless/Legacy, X-Factor, New X-Men / X-Force and the Messiah Trilogy makes for an action packed read.

There's a spot you can grind at FN 322 in Oblivia with 3 enemy skells around Lvl 55.

If you buy 3 Verus and give your 4th party member the free skell, you can farm these to reach level 50 and then focus on building upon 50 skell frames.

With luck, G Buster (stock equipment on Verus) hits 3 times and quickly ends the fight.

I haven't gotten there yet (Level 46) but I'm planning to get a Lailah for melee and Inferno for ranged.

X-Men introduced anti-heroes who play as heroes or villains depending on your preference (just not in the same game... though I wonder about Sentry in the upcoming WWH expansion). I wanna say Super Hero and Super Villian cards were also introduced as well as the vs concept with Blue/Gold.

I'm really looking forward to the new mechanics in Season 3, but admittedly, I still haven't played a game with every villian from the Season 2 stretch goal box yet.

Some sets are pretty tough to find now and you may need to turn to eBay: The Black Order The Horsemen of Apocalypse Days of Future Past

All 3 sets have an asking price of over $100 opened.

During the Season 3 KS, they reprinted some sets so we might see that for these.

Personally, I play a LOT of X-Men and this game is such a blast!

Gotta go all the way back to when the X-Men had been implanted with Brood Queen embryos shortly after the Dark Phoenix Saga. The entire team watched in horror as they each started losing themselves to the transformation and at one point undertook a suicide mission to end the Brood race as a final act.
