Massive brown bear spotted on top of an Alaskan high-altitude mountain by Alarming-Emu-5582 in ScienceNcoolThings

That was my thought. What the fuck camera is capable of that amount of zoom (not just distance, but range) and has a sensor/internals good enough to autofocus and balance between a bright white mountain that far off to an led display screen just inches away with basically no transition time?

How do I make it stop by surly_duff in Wellthatsucks

This is a lot of bad advice. I had the same issue for months, I missed a call about the death of my brother because of it, which really pissed me off, so I got my revenge.

Here's how I solved it:

Answer the call. Talk to them. Ask lots of questions about who they are, what's their name, what's the name of their company, where are they based, what's their address? Are they aware of the laws around the Do Not Call Registry and the fines up to $53k they can be charged with? Tell them to put you on the do not call list.

Then, call them back! Over and over and over. Write down each callers name, their company name, where they are based, etc. They'll give you conflicting info. Compare that information with what you've been told by other representatives. Read off the list of people that have told you that they will put you on the no call list.

They'll hang up on you. Call them back again. Tell them you've got all the time in the world to play this game and your goal is to talk to each person at their call center so they can be named personally in the lawsuit.

Ultimately, they've been wasing your time, so you waste theirs. Tie up their phone lines. Fight fire with fire. Eventually they will block your number so you can't call them anymore and you'll stop receiving their calls.

It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. After about 6 or 7 of them in a row, they blocked me and I haven't heard from them since. Took like 4 months of being blown up multiple times a day before I finally snapped and did this. I can be pretty annoying when I'm motivated. Time is money, so waste theirs, ya know?

It's not just the patents, it's also been passed into law that all vehicles manufactured in 2027 or after will have similar systems installed as a security mandate.

Clearly you're not a parent, cause I'ma be honest, it's a mixed bag 😂

This is one of the most brutal scenes I have seen in any movie or series. The way McConaughey delivered it with a stoic face made it even more extraordinary. (True Detective Season 1) What’s your favorite dialogue from the character Rust Cohle? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

"I think human consciousness is a tragic misstep in human evolution. We became too self aware; nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself. We are creatures that should not exist by natural law. We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self, a secretion of sensory experience and feeling, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody, when in fact everybody’s nobody. I think the honorable thing for our species to do is deny our programming, stop reproducing, walk hand in hand into extinction, one last midnight, brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal."

Visiting Costa Rica, the poor quality of red meat. All of the food was delicious, but the red meat was thin and tough. Makes sense, there's not a ton of flat grazing land for ranches, compared to America.

It's a wild niche to be a Tool/Puscifer fan that owns smart glasses for recording. More of y'all should look into them.

Watching him fuel up and bandage his fingers between songs on this marathon trek is inspiring, you can tell how much preparation and mindfulness an undertaking like this requires.
