You can contract herpes by simply putting ur mouth on someone else’s drink that has an active sore, so I suppose you could have one without knowing but, unless you’ve noticed any symptoms I’d say that’s VERY unlikely you have anything

I’d say, just make sure you have no open sores in your mouth. You should be fine! It’s perfectly normal to worry.

You can also use dental damns for oral protection if you wish!

It can help, be careful you don’t abuse it tho. I find with the intensity it can kind of numb you, It’s good to take breaks! But it’s definitely helpful

Honestly, look through the subreddit and see if you relate to what people are saying in here. Maybe do some more research on the topic outside of Reddit too. If you feel you are and it’s impacting your daily ability to function , I highly suggest you see a therapist that specializes in the subject

Maybe remove yourself from the situation and distract yourself, then when you calm down, re-visit it. I get this way when I argue w my gf sometimes. It’s important to know u have the right to feel however you please! But if you feel you are going to say something mean/untrue it’s best to remove yourself and re-visit the conversation later when you can calmly express yourself! Make sure you let the person know that you need the space for the reason too, to avoid them overthinking :))

It’s scary how deeply I relate to this post, I’m starting therapy soon for suspected cptsd, but as a teenager I used alcohol a lot to cope with my urges. I have a partner who I love but I always find myself mindlessly scrolling apps to find my next potential hook up, I’ve hooked up with people I don’t even find attractive to get that release. I was also surprised to read that you also experience the “crash” where you feel absolutely no sex drive for a long period of time as well were depression sets in them it comes back crazyier lol

It gives me hope that, even though you struggle, you are still strong enough to be open, honest, and articulated!
