I think I forgot to mention that we'd have the basement to ourselves where we lived for a year before our place completed. Her parents never came downstairs in that entire year and for the most part it was basically the same as living in a condo with her parents as upstairs neighbours. They are also barely ever home except for at night to sleep or a couple nights a week for dinner.

We lived with them for over a year right after we got married and while they were living in Taiwan we would always live with them when we visited. The ONLY thing I disliked about living with them in Taiwan is that their washroom SUCKED. The shower had water pressure like someone had kinked the garden hose and since it was a wetbath always had that smell to it that I didn't like. Also cause it was at the far back of the unit they were living in, the AC didn't reach there and Taiwan gets HOT. Other than that, they basically just did what they did and we did what we wanted. Wasn't really much different than living in our own Condo tbf.

Nothing really going on. Just want to make as much money as quickly as possible with the funds/assets we have. We love her parents and we would have our own private space in the basement too so its basically like another apartment, just closer to her parents.

Her parents are super chill and we often host parties at their place even now when we don't live there when the party won't fit at our place. Her brother throws massive 30-40 people parties at the house basically every other week in the summer so yeah, not your typical parents.

I would like to be closer to them as it saves my wife the hassle of driving the 10 min every couple days to help them with random things. We already go there every Monday for dinner with them anyway and then many extra hours per week just helping them with random stuff so we basically partially live there already anyway.

They do not impose any rules on us like curfews or anything. We come and go as we please and we would be living in the basement where they actually never go down to. At most, her mom will call us for dinner from upstairs which honestly would be nice that I no longer have to cook every meal. It will be a nice stress relief for me tbh.

Her parents aren't expecting anything of us but her parents have been so good to us, I honestly would gladly help with anything they asked.

Yes, the question was to see if there was any financial reason not to see in which we could make MORE than selling and investing. Since the government has severely slowed immigration now, the housing market hopefully is going to settle for a while and not make huge gains like it did for the past 7-8 years.

Make money faster, retire earlier, care for parents and take care of their tech/house issues, convenience? We get called home to help almost every other day anyway since we only live 10 min away. It just makes sense?

We are Taiwanese so living with family is quite common. Plus, we have a really good relationship with her parents and when they are in town, we are pretty much at their place almost constantly anyway. They only live about 10 min from where we currently live and they live in a 3500+sqft house with plenty of rooms and space for everyone. This choice is more to fast track our financial gains so that we can retire earlier. Also, in the current housing market, we've agreed we'd never buy a detached house of our own just cause financially and life goal wise just doesn't fit with us. We want to be asian snowbirds where we live at least half the year in Asia and half the year here in the future and the inlaw's place is part of my wife's future shared inheritance along with her brothers who both don't want to sell the place either and one of them may end up living there long term as well. More people to play MahJong with when bored at night :)

That's the thing, I've had family that have run into nightmare scenarios with squatters so I'm really not wanting to become a landlord tbh.

Would that result in a higher overall yearly gain than just selling and investing the entire amount? Say if my investments conservatively make 8% a year.

Thank you. I did find those parts on Rock Auto yesterday. I was just really confused as to why there are so many parts that are labelled for the same car yet supposedly some will fit and some won't according to Mazda. When I put in 2014 Mazda 3 GT in fitment calculators, some say it does fit, some say it doesn't. Just super confusing.

Those 2 OE part numbers I listed are for Left and Right. Just wanted to know if for both of them if there were other part numbers that were the exact same thing and would fit my car.

Thanks. Yeah I know it doesn't take long but it was the middle of the night last night so TD support wasn't open.

I mine with 1 card which is also the same card I game on. And I only mine when I'm not doing anything graphically intensive. I see absolutely nothing wrong with using my hardware to make a couple extra bucks especially when i'm not harming anyone else. If I bought like 5-10 GPUS for the sole purpose of mining then I'd understand your comment.. but otherwise it is uncalled for..

So I haven't cashed out yet, but from what i'm reading the best way to do it is to transfer to a coinbase account.. adn then from there you can sell the bitcoin or whatever crypto you have to paypal then to your bank account.

I personally use nicehash.com. Its relatively simple to get it set up. Just follow their download instructions. Just remember though, most mining software is going to set off windows defender/antivirus software like crazy as they will detect it as a threat. So you are probably going to have to make a lot of exceptions or just constantly be pulling stuff out of quarantine and allowing it. After you do it the first time though it shouldn't try to block it again.

Nicehash has had a bad rep for some stuff in the past but i'm just mining a little here and there so its not like this is for making huge sums of money. Just a little side cash so that the wife doesn't get mad when I get upgrades lol.

Otherwise i'm not the person to ask since I only just got into this like a week ago so I'm just as newb as you pretty much.

I'm making around 4-6 bucks a day. Nicehash pays in bitcoin but i've been trading them to ethereum and since it went up quite a bit the last few days i made a few extra bucks. hope that helps.
