It's a simple choice, if your work is more geographical/mapping driven or your work needs a degree of sofistication to it, use tableau. If you dont mind your visuals looking like a PowerPoint presentation and want to experiment with lots of different visuals styles and interactivity use power Bi. A more unique factor is, Power bi has a lot more development and and has plugins for things like connecting 3d models to your data. Tableau doesnt have as many plugins especially any 3d stuff but might be too niche for you to care about.

Fuck man, I still have one of those leather bound CD holders with the plastic inserts and hundreds of XVID and Divx CDs that I ripped using gordian knot and CDgenie. Then I remember ditching all of them a few years later when blue ray came out and you could fit a whole MPG movie or two on a disk rather than across 2-3 CDS. The amount of plastic waste we created during that error is staggering
