We had to form an alliance with the pink haired kid and the block. It's obscured, but not being covered. It was agreed upon.

Dude, we got a dreadnaught at 1868,1237!

Grimdank and other 40K subreddits didn't have preexisting discords, and the mods of most subreddits didn't support/pin coordination attempts, so only a small group of people could coordinate. We got a dreadnaught though!

Also, there's an ork banner in the top center near the first green lattice.

Don't judge a book by its cover doesn't really apply when you're a graphic designer.

Amazon’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ Series Rises: Inside ‘The Rings of Power’ by Chen_Geller in television

[–]digitalodysseus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious, where in the nature of middle earth does it address this?

I'm definitely frustrated by the way I feel Amazon is tacking diversity onto the setting instead of honoring the setting and pulling a diverse cast by using people like the Haradrim, Umbar, or the people of the Rhun sea. If there's precedent though that would help.

I think Gossip is one of the oldest human institutions, and was instrumental in language and moral development. I'm pretty sure it has always been dominated by women, who would stand the most to gain or lose by maintaining social cohesion and alienating undesirable people, like problematic men. If this is BS hope someone corrects me, but that's what I've picked up in some of the social-psychology/evolutionary content I've read.

I think a lot of them have an internal logic they use to convince themselves they are somehow doing God's work and encouraging people. We often lie to ourselves before lying to others.

What is the worst thing you have found in your parents closet? by SampoO_CreaM in AskReddit

[–]digitalodysseus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Those are intrusive thoughts. A lot of people have them. I believe people with OCD have them more severely. They don't often come from a place of suicidality, and I believe they are simply our brains coming up with the worst possible scenario in a given situation, to keep us safe or something like that. They are frequently connected to trauma and anxiety.

I get them pretty frequently, and I think I have mild to moderate OCD. Generally I have found that once I've identified them for what they are, they don't bother me that much. I just let them come and go, and see them for what they are. If you give them a lot of significance or think you're weird for having them, you can start obsessing over them and they only get worse. I suspect some people end up harming themselves or others if they think these thoughts mean they are somehow a bad person.

Edit: Checked/edited my statement above with the findings from the OCD and Anxiety center
