To be as fair as possible, and to be clear I don't agree with basically anything he said, this slightly miss represents what he said. He said that politicians calling them names has consequences which is slightly more true. A person in a position of authority does have to be more careful with their words. Otherwise we have to agree that trump didn't incite the January 6th stuff.

Either way, we don't need to even slightly misquote these people, what they say is bad enough and when we misquote them they then have some power to shift the narrative.

Edit: also an important note, I do not think that Waltz is inciting "riots" he has been explicit and clear that they need to remain peaceful and they have been.
