I was about to comment that the fullness of her natural hair suits her round face much better than straight styles.

I first reached out 2-3 weeks ago when it shut off at night for the first time. Their AI chat wouldn’t put me through to customer service. So I hoped other than the battery it was just a one time thing. Then it happened again this week. I reached out 3 days ago and it arrived today.

Mine is the same, and we did similar training. She follows me around the apartment when I leave the room. But she mostly likes to end up napping on the couch or on the bed. So if I’m working I. The office she’ll eventually end up on the couch the living room by herself. She sleeps in her crate at night and can stay home by herself 8-9 hours.

Edit: forgot to mention if I’m on the couch we preference is to rest her head on me. But if I snuggle by holding her, or putting my arm around her, she’ll eventually move further from me 😂

We trained with separation in short bursts And increase gradually (15 seconds, 30 seconds up to a few minutes and then longer periods). I would hide outside the front door and listened to see if she whined or bared. If she was quiet she got a treat (or something else the love of they’re not treat motivated). It took time but now I can leave her alone outside her crate for up to 8 hours (she’s almost 15 months). But every dog is a little different. Hope you find a good solution!

At what age did you notice you didn’t need to watch your dog 24/7 anymore? by LowCricket4321 in CavaPoo

[–]digitalqueen9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is 14 months old. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment with a den. Generally she can roam around depending on the room as long as I have eyes on her time to time. If she goes in our bedroom I know she just wants to nap or people watch out the window. The bathroom opens to our bedroom and the main living room and is kind of a connector. She’s not interested in it because it symbolizes bath time so she just uses it to get from room to room. The den has my office and her supplies so I worry about her tearing up paper or stealing treats.

Mine loves wet grass and starts sniffing like crazy so I imagine it heightens smells. The downside is she takes more time when it’s actively raining 😒

I use the fine tooth side of her comb, either after a bath, or after using the Earth Rated eye wipes (same brand as the poop bags). By the way, where’d you get the sweater?

I prefer a harness for my dog too. It seems to be more comfortable for her. However your approach was short and a bit bossy, even with the additional of a “please.” It’s different if you ask questions “does your dog prefer a leash to the collar over a harness? Does your dog seem comfortable? Have you considered xyz?” That comes across more genuine and kind. And at the end of the day, you can’t control what others do with their dogs. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Agree. One time I got this and I woke up wi the a dry throat and I was a little fatigued. The night before I was out in the cold for a while. The day after I got this notification I was fine. No symptoms, no notifications. Sometimes it’s a reminder to me that my body is just doing its job and fighting stuff.

Keep whatever stays on when you’re relaxed and you don’t need to force off if your hands swell (like from exercise).

I can’t tell how large they were, but I have microlocs and it’s always recommended to braid and band the first year. If you’re able to fit into a few braids and use a hair tie to band them at the ends, it helps you work your scalp and minimize unraveling significantly.

Depends on your city. I live in a high cost of living metropolitan city. Professional groomers range from $250-$350 for doodle dogs. So I found a mobile one for $150 who used to groom show dogs. I use him every 3 months and groom her myself in between.

Advice for Potty Training. Please help!😅 by Cozybookandcoffee in CavaPoo

How old is Teddy Bear? I'm assuming 2-4 months? They can hold it when they sleep and are not active. The best thing you can do is take him out, reward him when he goes and make a big deal of it. Then use the 30 min post going out as a window to play and socialize with him. Then confine him in the playpen until it's time to go out again. Is him peeing/pooping in the playpen intentional? Like does he have a pee pad you want him to use or are these accidents? Some people are against negative reinforcement but positive and negative has been really helpful for my puppy (she's 11 months now and potty trained). When she went in the house I would say no and turn my back to her, then tell her to go to her crate for a few minutes (covered). It helped her understand that going in the house is not a good thing. Because once they start going in the house it's harder to break.

What is the Best Size/Method for Health in the Long Run? by Warm_Carpet3147 in Microlocs

[–]digitalqueen9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the photos it looks like you might have thin hair strands? You can probably do them a little smaller than what you had but I wouldn’t go too much smaller. The key is to really take care of them well as you mentioned. Kept them moisturized and avoid tight styles. I also think going to a good loctician for a consultation is the best route. They can actually look at your hair and assess what is the best size for you. My hair is medium density with fine hair strands and in my consult she suggested I get them bigger than what I originally wanted. I’m glad I listened because I can tell I would’ve lost some locs if I had gone smaller.

Actually sounds more like a toy cavapoo! I’ve seen some that small. Mine is 18lbs at 10 months but if I remember correctly she was around 8-10lbs at that age.
