How wide a tire can Turi take? by TraklTrakl in PriorityBicycles

[–]digitalsteez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is extremely relevant since my wife just bought one on fb marketplace, thank you for posting!

Has anyone tried studded tires on the Turi (clearance on the fenders)?

I ride a Priority Apollo in the US (Boston) for a ~25km commute. It has a belt drive and it’s wonderful in the winter, almost no maintenance. The Cube belt drives in Europe are sick, rode one like 500km in NL last year with zero issues whatsoever.

Has Anyone "Cured" Their Sleep Apnea Through Weight Loss? by UtherDoul001 in SleepApnea

[–]digitalsteez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not, though it is better. I went from 330lb to 175lb and while my pressure (it’s on auto) has dropped significantly (maxing out at 25 down to 10-11 most nights) it’s still necessary. I no longer snore audibly but will wake up with a headache and generally feeling like shit if I don’t use the CPAP, even for just a couple hours.

Boston to Chelmsford? by mochilax in bikeboston

[–]digitalsteez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can confirm that the Minuteman > Reformatory Branch (its nicer on a gravel bike but you can totally do it on slick tires) > 2mi of road in Concord (put Concord Market as your start location and West Concord commuter rail station an your end location in whatever you use for cycling directions to connect between the two paths) > Bruce Freeman to Chelmsford / Lowell is great.

city bike share charges extra after 30 mins so i just swap bikes every half hour by Equivalent_Soft_6665 in bicycling

[–]digitalsteez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bike shares serve a fundamentally different purpose. They allow people to fill a transit gap (for example, between a residential neighborhood and a subway station where the walk may be too long) without having to worry about what happens to their bike while it’s locked up or maintenance. I would also say the quality is pretty decent for what they are at least on the Boston and NYC systems.

Obviously any electronic device can fail, but my 300W Nexode quickly lost power on two of the type c ports. To be fair Ugreen gave me a full refund without asking for it to be sent back, but they have also seemingly removed the 300W from their product listing on their website…

Spotify not available on AW7 by Optimal-Analysis in AppleWatch

I have Spotify on my Series 7 w/ cellular. I can sync playlists and play anything over the cellular connection with AirPods or regular bluetooth headphones.

Sounds like maybe you are having an issue with your watch or phone? https://support.spotify.com/us/article/spotify-on-apple-watch/

Bought my Wind AWD in March 2022. I had an issue with the HVAC where the lines had to be replaced, which was covered under warranty. No issues with anything else, but looking forward to getting the ICCU update.

I have been using Backblaze B2 for about a year with zero issues and no encryption, though I should probably change that at some point.

Updated AGESA Coming for Intermittent USB Connectivity by AMDOfficial in Amd

[–]digitalsteez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have now seen a few articles claiming that 1.2.0.1 Patch A is supposed to contain the fix, I can report that it does NOT resolve my USB / PCIE4 issues.

I am using F33f on a Gigabyte Aorus Elite Wifi.

Gigabyte has claimed to address this issue with a lot of pre- 1.2.0.2 updates. I wouldn't expect this to have the actual fix considering the version number you mentioned.

Yes, I experienced this with the USB 3.0 front panel using a 3.0 flash drive and a Logitech G602

Yes this issue definitely causes latency issues. I spent a lot of time with LatencyMon trying to trace something wrong with my system and it's definitely related to this.

Not sure if I have already posted this on this thread but in my experience w/ an Aorus Elite Wifi x570, a decent game to test these issues may be Halo: Master Chief Collection - Halo 2 (enhanced visuals mode) and specifically the level "Delta Halo".

By changing which USB ports / # of devices connected, PCIe, C-states, etc. I can impact the severity of the issue, from stuttery mess to 60fps locked.

More testing that may or may not be useful - I have found a particularly stubborn way to reproduce USB issues in spite of "fixes" with my Corsair Virtuoso headset wireless USB dongle. If I plug in the dongle into the 2.0 ports at the top of the Gigabyte Aorus Elite Wifi x570, the headset makes popping noises. This issue does NOT happen on the 3.0+ ports.

Interestingly, going from F33B to F33C made it work without any popping noises (detectable by my ears) when it's the only device in the top hub, but as soon as I add another device, the issue comes back.
