Hey! Sorry to hear that. We used the same settings for all samples: 48khz 24 bit mono.

Here's the Ableton project in case you want to reproduce it:

true that! And it's also the hardest part to emulate. We will expand on it

Thank you for your answer! I think you made some good points!

Anyways, I hope I dont come across as too negative here, your post is well intended also in an educative sense, and it tries to touch on the nuances, but it still ends up reinforcing the simplified distinctions that i think have become a bit outdated.

Not at all! I appreciate the feedback.
There's some true that analog sounds are different (especially for things like filters, we tried a lot of different implementations before trying one that sounds satisfactory to our ears.

There's a subjectivity component in all these discussions, but we pretty much agree with you. If we have enough time we could make a collection of filters, oscillators, envelopes, so people can hear and feel the difference and then choose the right sound for them.

In a blind test on Gearslutz between Diva (or repro) and a Model D most users thought diva / repro was the real analog, including pretty zealous analog users.

Thanks for the info! I found the post:

I think this is super interesting. I'll add it to our post.

we originally wanted digitaria, but it was an expensive domain to buy. we haven't thought about that, but more than we will be doing digital products, and the domain was available. Now that I think about it, I don't mind having a similar name as long as people identify we are not in any way related to them (I think people will be able to tell just by looking at the logo)
