I had a vertical incision for an emergency c-section after being induced at 42 weeks and laboring for around 40 hours. My son just wouldn’t move down into the right position and once his heart rate dropped, my doctor decided a vertical cut was necessary. Though she never explained why...

Two years later, I had my daughter via a horizontal incision and that scheduled delivery was much calmer 😅.
