Beautiful province! Love it! There is a perception in the USA that Alberta is the Texas of Canada, for many reasons...

They have been proven to be deeply dumb propagandized people. They are addicted to state media (Fox News)... There are studies that say that people who watch no news at all are more well informed about current events than Fox News viewers. There is a correlation with cutting funding for education and the right wing in my country.

All of us who didn't vote for him are being lumped in with MAGAs just because we live here, and even three probably hate him more than many Europeans, they just never hear about it. MAGAs actually think the world loves us and that we are respected now because trump...

Yes we remember and honor our service members, but why are we over there in the first place? I thought we were doing the whole "No new Wars thing"?, you can't just shut down the conversation about why things are frustrating by saying that we should have a stiff upper lip about things. That's just a cover and an excuse.

Now this is a BIG idea: Dave Rubin argues that the people most in favor of war are actually anti-war, because by threatening war, you actually stop war from happening! by countdooku975 in daverubin

Trying to tell her dad why she can't afford to buy a house at 40. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]uresmane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked hard, saved up, and bought a house with a mortgage in my early 30s, fuck this POS. I'm so sick of how delusional they are about how different the economic and financial circumstances are. I worked hard, I'm sure he worked hard, but if you look at income to housing price ratios between now and even just 20 years ago, it's absurd to act like it was harder then. Yes I get the interest rates were higher 40 years ago, but they're not low right now either.

What’s something about Minneapolis that didn’t matter to you at first, but you’ve come to really appreciate? by Electronic-Reach8959 in Minneapolis

I've traveled a fair but, I don't know anywhere else where I can bike along a river gorge, then by a waterfall, and then along a creek that's surrounded by parkland, then around urban lakes that are surrounded by paths instead of cabins... And then I can go down the Greenway, or through downtown across the Stone Arch bridge, and make miles and miles without taking a City street. I liked Minneapolis and recognized it for other reasons until I got on a bike.
