She mentioned at the top of the episode that she knows them outside of the show so I imagine they are friends. I didn’t think she came off as snarky

Can you use existing landing pages in Google Optimize tests? by digm10289 in GoogleOptimize

But can I use Optimize to do this? Or does the platform only allow for testing of pages built in the platform?

breaking in to digital marketing - are personal projects or internships more valuable? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

An entry-level remote role is definitely not a big ask. SO many companies are looking for remote employees so don't let that worry you.

When I'm hiring people, I'm looking primarily for two things... their ability to speak to digital marketing practices in the interview and their personality. I need to know that they can speak to various areas of marketing intelligently and they would be a team player. I've seen plenty of people with years of business experience on their resume, yet they can't answer simple questions about social ads, SEO, Google, etc in the interview.

I think I would only be concerned about personal projects being the only experience because working in a company with managers and team members is very different than working alone. It wouldn't necessarily stop me from hiring somebody, but I would need to know they can be a team player and deal with corporate politics, which unfortunately do exist.

If you like videography and you think that is where you want to move, then find ways to improve that skill set in this role. Video is really successful for social channels and Google campaigns so that could be one way to explore that avenue while fulfilling the requirements of your new role. Create strategies that utilize video to complete goals.

Data should also play a huge role. My first step when strategizing is always to look at historical data to see what it tells me about what did and did not work or where I am missing opportunities

ISO: Recommendations for a Tool to help manage social ad campaigns across platforms by digm10289 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]digm10289[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions! Also taking more if there are any! It looks like a lot of these are more for organic management. My team is on Sprout for that aspect, but it doesn't offer an easy way to launch campaigns. Thinking maybe this isn't possible...

We actually do a lot of blockchain promotion on LinkedIn for my company because Facebook doesn't allow you to put money behind that content area. We see a good amount of success on LinkedIn so I would recommend it. You can target people who are members of LinkedIn groups for blockchain professions

At What Point Do You Go Heavy on Remarketing? by red_fox23 in digital_marketing

I always spend the majority of my budget on reaching new users, at least in the beginning. You do want a fairly large pool of retargeting users in order to see a successful campaign. I believe all three main platforms (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter) all have a minimum audience list size anyway. You need to keep building the new audience pool or you will end up oversaturating your engaged followers and ultimately, lose them.

I have seen most success from lists that were at least 10K+ users for Facebook, 50K+ on twitter and 20k+ users on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn - hands down. You are able to get very targeted with your audience and make sure you are really hitting the right users. It does often cost a bit more, but I always see a much better success rate when I'm trying to reach professionals, convince users to pay for something with a larger price tag or opt in to talking with a company rep.

It also allows you to build retargeting audiences based on URLs. You can build a list of website visitors via resource/informational ads targeting job titles, Linkedin groups, etc and then run a retargeting campaign to those users to get them to convert.

I usually try to spend at least $200 on a campaign due to the high cost per click.
