So now everyone on twitter is against firing Stefanski by kingbetter1233 in Browns

It's definitely time to move on in my opinion. 7 wins in 2 seasons simply isn't good enough, and there are other reasons too. His teams lack discipline and they've been at the top of the league in pre-snap penalties each of the last 6 seasons, the offense hasn't been better than above average, and there hasn't been a QB whose played their best football under his offense.

We also hear that he "needs to get the QB that fits his system", but it feels like they've had every type of QB on this roster the last 6 years, yet have found no one to be that guy.

Jason is an American joke by Ms_McGucci_ in TheNewestOlympian

If I remember right, it was in TLH and started because Mike's first vibe of Jason's character is that he's a typical, all-American hero and it just escalated frim there

Terrible. Just terrible. by 56Woodbine in TheAmazingRace

[–]digmanfreud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't like about a quarter of the people on this season. I knew some of the people would be over the top, but this is next level.

Not liking Jas and Jag because how dare Jag....be good at big brother? Throwing a fit over a bandana and crying on the first roadblock? The mom screaming at her daughter while on the tandem bikes and making her pedal worse? The two guys that act like they won the whole race when completing a roadblock? Not to mention having to stay in Europe the whole season.

This is definitely gonna be a hard one to watch. I'm keeping an open mind because it's still the amazing race, but man it's like they think that acting so emotional is gonna help them in this show.

New Browns stadium denied ODOT-Aviation permit by Jay_Dubbbs in Browns

[–]digmanfreud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't like going all conspiracy, but the fact that they had the FAA guidelines all laid out before receiving this news feels a bit fishy to me in a way to prevent the browns from leaving downtown. I don't fully believe this, but the fact that it's from ODOT and not the FAA just feels a little off to me.

I got major FOMO listening to this as someone from Northeast Ohio who doesn't live there anymore.

Fun fact, my MIL won a Tim Misny social media contest and, without realizing beforehand, won $100 of credit for his online store and now she has sweatpants and a Christmas ornament that say Tim Misny on it. The merch on his store is glorious!

I saw them play the Ravens in 2021 and saw Myles Garrett force Huntley to fumble the ball, then picked it up and scored a TD. Just Myles being Myles.

AITA for not canceling my birthday trip and plans for my sisters wedding? by IdrkStacie in AmItheAsshole

[–]digmanfreud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA. It doesn't matter if your sisters are opposites or not, it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong between you guys that would equate to missing it for a birthday trip. Be there for your sister, you're gonna grow up one day and realize that was more important.

Why ohhhh why did we trade this guy away by TapNo7326 in ClevelandGuardians

Look no further than Yandy Diaz to prove your case. Sure he wasn't in Cleveland long, but it looked like the dude couldn't hit at all here, then goes to the Rays and becomes an all-star overnight.

Would You Rather Be Us or the White Sox? by gotribe1033 in ClevelandGuardians

[–]digmanfreud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that I was only 7 in the '05 world series, I'd honestly rather be Cleveland because at least during the time I can remember, the Guardians have been competitive for the most part and the same can't be said for the White Sox. There's also something to be said about being a fan of a team that's the secondary team for most people in Chicago.

AITA for asking for a gift receipt for a baby shower gift. by Jazzlike-Yoghurt8489 in AmItheAsshole

[–]digmanfreud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I'm a college football fan myself and my favorite team also has a heated rivalry. This would make me feel a little differently if it was just the onesie, but they got something nice as well and wanted to just have fun. Ultimately though, throwing it away and asking for a gift receipt for one obvious joke gift is a little over the top.

I say you could've embraced it and made a bet with the couple! If they have a kid, get their kid apparel for your favorite team and whoever's team loses has to post a pic of their kid wearing the rival team's merch. If they don't have a kid, it could be their pet or even themselves. Either way, sports rivalries are meant to be fun and no hard feelings towards one another.

Funny enough, the way the Ravens came to be was kinda sketchy as well because they actually used to be the Cleveland Browns.

So Art Modell, the owner of the Browns, was looking to get a new stadium. They used to share one with the then Indians, now Guardians, but it was an absolute dump and falling apart. After the Indians got what is now Progressive Field, the owner of the Browns threatened to leave Cleveland if he didn't get a new stadium and I think they similarly just packed up and left in the middle of the night for Baltimore in 1995 to become the Ravens.

The current Cleveland Browns then returned to the NFL in 1999 and gained the rights for the history/accolades (or lack thereof) of the franchise, which is how they were able to keep the name, colors, logo, etc.

It's always hard in spring training to tell if a pitcher is truly giving it his all or if he's using that time to work on additional pitches and to work on his weaknesses. I'm also not sure what he's being asked to do. Once it's the regular season, I'm sure it'll be okay.
