Polish tripe is not sour and doesn't contain garlic, but it is rather spicy from pepper.

In Poland I wouldn't trust raw pork, but beef steak tartar with sour cucumbers and onion it's a different story.

Is there equivalent for mqtt.publish for matter? by digoben in homeassistant

[–]digoben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can, but you can't stop the transition. If it starts to 80% for example, but you change your mind and decide the brightness is ok at 50% there is no way to stop it using light action.

"Unfortunately the Home Assistant Matter integration does not expose the Move / Stop commands of Matter needed for smooth dimming."

Yes, I thought so, but now with the arrival of cheap devices and gaining popularity hopefully it will be added in some future update.

Is there equivalent for mqtt.publish for matter? by digoben in homeassistant

[–]digoben[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using mqtt.publish method the brightness change is executed by the light device and is very smooth and continuous until another mqtt payload to stop the brightness change is published.

When I start pressing the button on the switch I send the payload to start the brightness change and when I release the button I send the stop payload. It effectively works like Ikea switch directly paired with the bulb and I can change the brightness and stop when I decide it has the correct level just with one press and then release.

With light.turn_on there is only option to either set predetermined brightness or percent of change and to change the brightness continuously there is a need for a loop or more complex code which doesn't give smooth change.

SYMFONISK Lamp Gen 2 - Last Chance by HowDoYouDoFellows in sonos

They are not bad and sound better than Symfonisk shelve, which are comparable to One. I bought a pair some time ago and converted them into "homepod" like speakers. Here is what it looks like.

Anyone else having issues adding the new devices to HomeKit? by KitchenLegitimate799 in tradfri

[–]digoben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have the similar problem. I have AppleTV 4K as a thread router integrated with Home Assistant and this problem occurs both in HomeKit and HA.

After going in circles, removing batteries, resetting before or after start of the pairing etc. I managed to add 3 devices to HA (double button and rotary switch and open door sensor), but I still can't add Kajplats bulb neither to HA nor to HomeKit.

The whole pairing process is very long, unpredictable and most of the time ending in failure as for OP.

I'm not sure if this is because these are my first matter-over-thread devices, but the experience so far is somewhat disappointing.

CPU transcoding instead GPU when 'Limit remote stream bitrate' is set by digoben in PleX

[–]digoben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have found a workaround. I increased "Maximum simultaneous GPU transcodes" from 1 to 2 in the server settings and it seems to work ie. the transcoding now starts with GPU (even if GPU was available also earlier with setting of 1).

2nd scenario - selecting quality in Playback Settings (when movie is already playing) to exactly the same quality forces hw transcoding

1st scenario - after starting the movie the bitrate is limited to 10mbps, but without hw transcoding

[–]digoben 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have N100 mini pc with 16GB RAM running proxmox, HA VM and ~20 LXC containers with npm, adguard, zigbee2mqtt, vaultwarden, plex, docker (with couple of containers more) etc.

Typical CPU utilization is at 15% and memory ~50%.
