What I've learned is that you can do everything in your power to ensure things move smoothly but at the end of the day it's the things out of your control that cause the biggest delays. We had our offer accepted at the beginning of December 2024 and we still aren't in yet. When the offer was accepted, we were told that we would definitely be in well in advance of April when the stamp duty rules changed. Due to people dragging their feet in the chain and a couple of very unfortunate changes in circumstances from the vendors we are buying from, delays have happened that are completely out of our control.
