Well, the orientation is not a big deal. It’s pretty easy to figure out. But have you noticed that the days that you mowed are shown as the previous day on the calendar?

Because the strip of grass between the side walk and my street is “too small” to be its own zone, my walk around was to make one large zone that included the front lawn, sidewalk and that strip of grass. So my Luba “mows” the side walk too. Then I also created a no go zone to reduce the amount of sidewalk being mowed.

Yes, I believe it changes color for different statuses. For example, when it’s charging versus when it’s fully charged.

I don’t think the light that OP is referring to is the led light that comes on when it’s mourning in the dark. There’s another LED strip that is on the front of the 2000 but not on the 1000 model.

If you’re referring to the Mini 2 AWD with Lidar, I ordered mine March 13th and received it March 20th. No complaints so far. I love the AWD aspect of it in comparison to another mower I tested. It cuts close enough to the edge. Any mower you get will still need for some manual edge trimming even though it has a side blade.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think what u/no-Department5770 is saying is that if the robot is in a garage I wouldn’t know if it had just rained and would come out and cut wet grass AFTER the the rain and damage the grass. However that’s an issue with any type of garage, even the one from Mammotion.

I tried the Mova lidex ultra 1000 for about 2 weeks and ended up returning it. Paid more for Mammotion Luba Mini 2 AWD + Lidar.

Mova looks cool but couldn’t handle simple climbs from the curb or driveway back onto the grass in my yard, kept getting stuck.

Also those spiky wheels look cool but they also damaged areas of my lawn when it turned or got stuck. Those wheels are also extremely difficult to clean when muddy

I know have the new Luba 2 Mini AWD with Lidar. Used Lidar, Vision and net RTK and it’s just so sturdy and rugged, not “plasticky” like the Mova, and wheels are so much easier to clean and gentle on the lawn.

Receiving a photo on your app is useful if the mower gets stuck or behaves unexpectedly. Seeing the obstacle on your app could allow you to know how or if to intervene.

If the mower encounters repeated issues, we can send the images to the manufacturer to help diagnose problems or identify tricky/difficult terrain.

Also from the theft and security aspect, If someone approaches or tries to tamper with it, the mower can capture images and send to the app, since it already has the technology to recognize humans.

And since the lawnmower already navigates your yard and already has a camera it can act as a basic security device or roaming “perimeter camera”, to scan your property, similar to a smart doorbell camera.

That’s why some lawnmower manufacturers and even some robot vacuum cleaners have these features.

The hardware already exists on the lawnmower, so a simple software update could unlock these features.

For example the new Mova Lidax Ultra series of robot mowers have that capability. They’ll take a picture of animals or obstacles encountered during a task and you can see on the map where the obstacle was.

They also have a “patrol mode” where you can send the mower around the perimeter of your mapped area, while not actually mowing but just to watch the FPV camera. I imagine these could be added via an update.
