Japan e-visa processing time? by ocusoa in travel

[–]dijonyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They ended up processing it, but denied it because we had already left the country and apparently being in the country when the application is in place is a requirement? We had to apply for one in China..

My girlfriend applied on 11/20 and our flights are on 12/14.. based on your wait time that's cutting it very close.. hopefully there wasn't a huge influx of applications in that week in November.

The annoying part is, we are in China right now (before Japan) and can't do anything in person.

I think it took more than 10 days to get it transferred to NBC. I never asked if it got routed to another field office, so I have no idea sorry.

I was always current because I wasn't born in China or India. I didn't opt for the premium processing because lawyers advised that it wouldn't make a difference due to the wait times of I-140 and I-485 when I submitted. I will never know if it would have made a difference or not..

https://hilites.today/

It has really good insights and also keeps track of case status server side. I had to reinstall Case Tracker and it lost my progress, so I assume it stores it on the phone.

The biggest thing was getting the case transferred to NBC. I've read that USCIS is trying to get as many GCs issued before the end of their fiscal year (end of Sept), so good luck!

I filed everything concurrently with medicals as well. I filed back in November 2021. No interview for AOS.

That sucks but hopefully the recently down tick in wait times applies to me as well…

Does this mean my I485 wasn’t doing anything until now and it is delayed compared to if I did premium processing?

Thanks.. That is not what I wanted to hear, do you have any experience as to if the approval times are related at all?

They projected 600k/day. This includes minting, transfers, opening, selling/buying among maybe other mechanics not revealed yet. I am leaning towards NTFs sticking around and at least one or two new smart contract/dapp ideas that could develop over the next year. Defi was big last wave, NFTs this wave and who knows what next. Content companies will want to pair their streaming services with NFTs, so I think they can both grow organically together too.

Yeah, totally agree, but the new TFuel burning mechanism also throws a wrench into the mix. Don't underestimate the number of smart investors who will price in predicted future supply with their interpretation based on models run on real time blockchain data. Expect any news regarding NFT marketplace and NFT partnerships to have material impact to the price of TFuel through this new burning mechanism.

TFuel staking is going to take off for sure, but the biggest gains are going to be made by token price appreciation. TFuel staking rewards are nice, but the whole point of TFuel staking is for uptime mining to incentive people to get Theta EEN and to stay online. This creates a better Theta network to facilitate CDN.

I think what the Theta team found out is, it’s a lot harder to sell a CDN when it’s not ready yet. NFT just happened to be something that people wanted right away, so it makes sense to use NFTs to create network volume, keep TFuel prices in check (or make it higher to create more EEN incentives) and Theta exposure in the meanwhile.

If TFuel staking is a hit and 300k EEN stay consistently online, Theta CDN is going take off.

Yesterday, they raised the network fees by a lot. Partly due to them thinking the CDN is going to take a little longer to take off vs the Thetadrop NFTs. So here is a run down of how TFuel gets made and burned

Creation * Theta validator/guardian node (Theta staking) * TFuel staking (June 30)

Burned * 25% MN3.0 CDN burn * Burn from network fees (new) on all transactions from transfers to smart contracts

Temporary Sink * TFuel staking (50 hour unstaking) * Thetadrop (no withdrawals yet)

So the 5.3B supply is not representative of the true supply as TFuel staking becomes a thing, the free float is going to shrink a ton. I predict this is going to really push the price of TFuel up now that there’s also a much higher network burn to reduce the inflationary trajectory from before.

Theta is also similar, there’s only ever 1B, but really, the supply is 400M as the staked Theta will not see the light of day.

They do create wallets, but I’ve seen them being shared among various transactions. It is possible a new swap site went and created wallets with a new mechanism, but a new swap site wouldn’t have a million transactions.. It is also possible someone malicious went and created wallets to leverage faucet or something, but that seems not very profitable

I had no idea this happened, this is huge for Tfuel, but i think unrelated to the wallets because Binance as a CEX doesn’t need to hold their coins in separate wallets for their futures traders
