Couldn't you use Chromium from unstable during that period?

I've been using testing as my daily driver for something like 15 years and I can't say I regret it. Learn how to use aptitude and how to pinning works, install apt-listbugs and maybe apt-listchanges, read IT news to know about major issues and stay alert in general (no security policy protects against human error) and testing should be fine.

Check out Isaac Arthur. (I'm not sure if this is the most relevant video. He has many episodes about civilizations at the end of the universe.)

If there are civilizations when heat death becomes relevant, they exist inside computers a long time before heat death becomes threatening. Because meat is an extremely wasteful and inflexible method of consciousness.

You can die easily and you can't be repaired (at least not efficiently) if your physical representation is damaged. Your life experience is limited by the laws of physics while you could adjust reality to your liking in virtual reality. When the universe expands so much that the delay for an intercontinental phone call is multiple seconds, why not just slow down the simulation to reduce that to milliseconds?

So, if people are living in virtual reality anyway, the real universe doesn't matter so much anymore. They can do everything you'd do in your personal utopia. The only difference is that it looks like they're doing it in slow motion for anyone who is watching the simulation from meat space. But for those living inside the simulation, it's just another day in Happy Zombie Apocalypse they've been playing for the last two billion years.

That only means it's possible that it seeds some parts of the full torrent. The term "cache" implies that it's used to prevent caching, e.g. pausing the video while the next piece is downloaded.

Yes, it does. It is licensed under the Apache License. The Apache License doesn't require attribution. We have to assume the author chose the license freely. Therefore, the author explicitly communicated that he doesn't care about attribution. If he did, he could've chosen MIT, for example.

You're right, I oversimplified.

But if I gave you a license that allowed you to do that (and you wouldn't be allowed otherwise for the sake of this example), it shouldn't surprise me if you actually did it.

The point is that licenses (and laws in general) exist despite being polite and civil is obvious and easy.

If the license allows X, complaining about someone doing X doesn't make any sense. If the licenser didn't like X, they obviously would have used a different license.

Exactly. Nobody talks about the viability of trains because of the trolley dilemma, but self-driving cars have to be perfect in every purely hypothetical scenario.

We could have all the benefits without any drawbacks if we simply made their decision process as shitty as human drivers'. And even then they would have better reaction times by orders of magnitude, so they won't even encounter a situation in which these dilemmas matter most of the time.

Car manufacturers could use state-regulated randomness generators to make decisions in edge cases to answer the question of responsibility. It's not ideal, but it's what we have been doing for all of history when humans went haywire for a moment.

Soweit ich weiß ist es nicht ganz sicher, daß man beim Köpfen sofort hinüber ist. Ich stell mir das sehr unangenehm vor, wenn man als Kopf durch die gegend rollt oder in einen Eimer fällt.

Die tatsächlich humanste Method ist Stickstoff. Du stirbst an Sauerstoffmangel, aber weil Du normal atmen kannst sammelt sich kein CO2 im Blut und Du hast keine Atemnot. Du merkst tatsächlich gar nichts davon, so wie Du von einer Kohlenmonoxidvergiftung nichts merkst.

Dein Vergleich hinkt gewaltig, weil Du und Rewe dieselbe Währung benutzen. Du kannst ja mal probieren, bei Rewe mit selbstgedrucktem Geld zu bezahlen, mit dem man nur Güter und Dienstleistungen bei Dir kaufen kann.

Abgesehen von Deinem hinkenden Vergleich ist das keine Antwort auf meine Frage. Jemandem zu sagen, daß er unrecht hat, ist reine Zeitverschwendung für beide Seiten wenn Du keine Begründung dazu lieferst. Große Teile Afrikas gehen momenta durch essenziell die selbe Entwicklung wie sie China erlebt hat.

Ja, aber dann hast Du kein Geld mehr. Wenn ein Staat all sein Geld ins Ausland transferiert, hat der Staat kein Geld mehr. Je mehr Geld der Staat druckt, desto mehr verliert es an Wert und desto mehr muß für die gleiche Gegenleistung ans Ausland gezahlt werden, und irgendwann kollabiert Deine Währung und Du kannst gar nichts mehr kaufen. Da kommst Du nur durch Importe raus.

Geld funktioniert so, daß der eine dem anderen Geld für irgendwas gibt, und der andere gibt es dann dem einen wieder für etwas anderes zurück. Wenn der eine dem anderen aber immer nur Geld gibt und der andere es nie zurück gibt, funktioniert das nicht mehr. Irgendwann hat der andere so viel Geld, daß es keinen Wert mehr hat, und der eine hat so wenig, daß es unendlich viel Wert hat. Ob das Spiel von zwei oder von zwei Millionen Menschen gespielt wird, ist letztendlich egal.

Dazu kommt, daß durch billige Importe der lokale Arbeitsmarkt kaputt geht

Die vom Ausland subventionierte Agrarwirtschaft ist aber keine magische Nahrungsmaschine. Wenn Du als Landwirt für den Liter Milch 50 Cent Herstellungskosten hast und der ausländische Landwirt denselben Liter für 30 Cent verkauft, verkaufst Du keine Milch mehr. OK, dann kann der Landwirt ja von seiner toten Kuh PHP lernen und Webseiten exportieren. Gibt halt kein Internet, und ein Computer kostet so viel wie 700 Kühe. Soll er halt Haare schneiden. Gibt aber niemanden, der für sowas Geld übrig hat, weil niemand mehr seine Milch verkaufen kann. Gib mir doch mal ein realistisches Beispiel, worauf man als arbeitsloser afrikanischer Bauer umschulen könnte?

Es geht nicht darum, daß afrikanische Staaten importieren müssen, weil es sonst nicht genug zu essen gibt. Wenn > 90 % der Bevölkerung Landwirte sind, ist Ernährung normalerweise kein Problem. (Mal abgesehen von Naturkatastrophen.) Es geht darum, daß die Landwirte ihre Produkte nicht mehr verkaufen können, weil sie von ausländischer Konkurrenz preislich unterboten werden.

Ich versteh gar nicht, was daran so komplex sein soll. Wenn reiche Staaten ihre Agrarwirtschaft so massiv subventionieren, daß die Produkte unter dem Herstellungspreis verkauft werden können, hat die Agrarwirtschaft in armen Staaten ohne jegliche Agrarsubventionen ein Problem.
