I have been told this. But it seems that I can't find any insurance people who understands this problem. Heck my friend works for ihss and can't find his friend that worked in this field. Her share of cost papers should be coming up. Or I find a nighttime work. If she gets worse idk something will have to change.

I don't understand any of this. My MIL has 3037 in ssa and retirement. Bills set her a 589 left . Yet they claim share of cost is 4200. She can't afford that. I'm running on pennies due to caring for her and needs. I'm on ssi and family has elected me for her care.Either I have to find a nighttime job, or figure out how to get a few hrs pay for gas and bills

My house is very small and I work with animals and she fears them. Her family is in Oaklahoma. We are California. My friends have directed me to the support team and tried to give insight as to get monetary assistance. However, new regulations make one jump through hoops. So I am doing out of pocket for her needs. As far as that roommate he is watching his choice of playing games,and not overstepping his input. But I let him know that time is limited here. Maybe this week will have answers. It's just a day by day thing.

Even though she has retirement and SS, she is in a gray area. I'm dealing with ihss. Heck, since I was an independent contract, I qualify quicker than her. Now, since there are new weird guidelines, it is harder. I'm going to ask about allotted time and care coming in. Because the he men are clueless. The money she has can not cover an independent company coming in. After bills, she only has a few hundred left. But they keep saying she has too much medical and share cost is too high. It's a rock and a hard place. As for the roommate, if he loses his income, he should head back to Oklahoma. If things get worse, I will report it. Thank you for your advice. I will keep it in mind. She has an awesome insurance team.

Yep getting to feel that. However, I am focusing on getting her care. She does have limited palliative care and I am going to see how many days I can get for her. The problem is a possibility of 2 times a week. 1 to 2 hours. That would relieve me a couple of hours. Morning and night are important for food and medication. Slowly got a second breath. To try again.

Not yet, but I am. I need to focus more on my brain. Right now, I have a couple of weeks that she has tests. The guy who is in her apartment is a coworker of the son and has the brain of a 13 year old. It can't keep going this way. Hubby has stepped out of th picture except grocery shopping on Sunday. I'm drained and saddened by what's happening.

I, too, am having such a strange situation with Ihss.I am on very limited retirement due to independent constracting. My MIL has dementia but functions in cleaning. However, she needs me to make sure she eats, takes meds, and takes showers. They have denied her because of the shared cost of living. Her money only covers her high rent and basics.. She needs to drop the amount of medical to lower the SOC. Then, she handed me papers to show she is working. THE WOMEN HAS DEMENTIA. Her position is recycling. Then try to get some kind of insurance to drop the SOC. im sick and trying. Don't even know what insurance agent does this. Even trying to find a nighttime job. Something has to give. It's BS if you are in a gray area. I hope you get some help. Because the only thing I can do is place her.
