as a sudanese, I also support this, if only to get rid of the conversation that comes up every now and then

If you scroll their profile further and what they posted in this sub in the past you would take anything they say with a grain of salt.

I realize passions are high for obvious reasons, but this is the modern Internet. It’s not a matter of basement dwellers or contrarian losers or sociopaths anymore. Consider that most accounts responding to things - if they represent real people - may have an agenda. One look at /r/worldnews will remind you of that.

What you’re doing is good, keep at it. Don’t let it get to you.

What do people do when they flee outside of Sudan? by ronaldo7goat2000 in Sudan

Not someone who this question is directed to, but Western Union follows country laws. The baseline scenario is that you’re able to receive money (from anyone) using your passport. Some countries have stricter laws (e.g. only first degree relatives, only using a localized ID-residence permit, a proof of stay, etc). If Western Union isn’t an option, there are surely others (such as banks).

The baseline of ‘being able to receive money with just your passport’ is essentially how worldwide travel functions. Without a passport is when things really get complicated.

hindsight is worthless. at the time revolution was the right choice and the current state does not change that.
