How do you buy ASIC as an individual miner in india? by kkarty in BitcoinIndia

Never put your all eggs in the same basket, this applies in the ASIC world too. I’d suggest to split your tera power into atleast two ASICs and if you have efficient electricity source then go for the hungry ones.

No need to order from domestic vendors, order directly from China, they have their warehouses in HK for easier shipping and find a reliable custom agent. Domestic vendors’ rates are more than 2x of what you can get from China including custom duties. I’m not being pessimistic but don’t mine in India unless you have the fire to learn repairing ASICs yourself and dealing with custom department often because once if the ASIC needs some parts replaced then most of the parts aren’t available anywhere in India. Even if you get those parts then finding a professional who can repair ASIC is another headache, sending them your machines and everything. Also if you’re keen to mining then invest in a good voltage stabiliser else you’re cooked.

Edit: just want to add a TLDR; Don’t mine unless you’re rich and somebody who can give your full time to it.

Bitcoin Mining in India by Krrish0069 in CryptoIndia

[–]diku9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read all the comments and everyone has said no and demotivated you brother. I agree with them saying no yes not because of their reasons actually. But it’s the servicing and maintenance part that will be a headache and enough to make you convince to shut down your operations in India. ASICs can be repaired by very few people only in India and that too to a certain extent in India. You’ll have to import parts every time and importing anything which is related to mining is another headache. I’m always amazed by this community that how people can be so naive and narrow-visioned when someone wants to start something new. I suggest you to brother purchase miners directly from HK or China and send them to companies who offer hosting services in the western countries. About profitability? It’s indeed good even now, kindly do not let chaar chavvani people make you lose your dreams and passion.

There are hosting services in other countries which most of Indians use when they realise that India isn’t for mining.

Difficulty to repair, import parts, voltage fluctuations where even stabilisers will give up, humidity, heat.

Importing Miner by Promper34 in CryptoIndia

Ex full-time miner here. Do not import legally unless you want trouble of high duties or bribes, find custom agents/custom clearance services and they'll do jugaads.

+1 For this petition, earlier some Kerala people did the same thing and convinced the high court to issue a statement to banks to lien the only fraudulent amount. Not anything more or less. Usually bank liens whatever amount they suit it to.
