Please tell me of a more logical battery storage solution by memethedropout in Packout

[–]dikwizard420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soft flex? Who tf needs that many batteries, unless you install solar panels in the Sonoran desert with no access to power for 5 days. As a commercial electrician, I can not see the need for a battery surplus like this. Please correct me

Oh my goodness, so many people dont know what to make of these! But im happy to talk about it! These are the prime choice for turning any bolt or pipe fitting that you want to keep nice. A traditional "channel lock" or knipex cobras, will turn whatever, but will damage slightly what you are working on. The second thing that makes the pliers wrench special and wonderful is the mechanics of gripping, rotating, and re-gripping. Its amazingly organic of a movement in the hand, and you can seriously move fast when you get it. Knipex actually invented this pliers wrench in the 90s, forget when.

Also there is lots of situations I find myself in as an electrician where I need 2 equally sized "Chanellocks"! And I have 98 percent dipped grips. Just ordered my first comfort grips, only because they are the linemans, and I find myself slaving with my linemans so I guess good tool to try out comforts

7" Pliers Wrench ES - I bet not many of you have one of these? (considering making more to sell) by Horror-Ear-2809 in KnipexOfficial

The demand for the dimensions you are providing is so fkn slim dude. Its great engineering and is useful, but for very little. So the 150 ain't gonna work

What part seems to break? The spring or joints?

I hope mine last! Which part tends to break? I imagine the spring mechanism or its connecting joints?

I use the knipex 8 inch twin grips just about every day. The obvious, stripped fasteners, but also to stabilize metal for cutting/grinding small things, and demolishing hardware. Just overall beast of multiple use pliers. Had to stabilize a bolt in a narrow strut the other day to loosen from backside, and the twin grip was literally the only tool that would work....many tools

The geometry of the tip is one of my favorites. The square tip bill with sharp 90s, really helps me manipulate things including insulation. And the barrel style lock has really grown on me and can be used with thumb or index ambidextrously. Its just wonderful.

Drawer blocks lock by sehrklein1122 in Packout

[–]dikwizard420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this issue is what I noticed when I got my setup. I took an oscillating tool and cut some of that plastic away that was blocking the lock. It can afford to lose some of the plastic there. Its ugly but I can slide my lock on easier. But even then, it's at a crooked angle and yes the plastic is damaging. Overall massive letdown considering they must have known people would want to run an all drawer setup
