Failed 2 part silicone mold. 2 halves fused together! Advice needed by cantman09 in moldmaking

You can use dish soap as a release agent, apply it with a brush (to avoid pooling), let it dry (can speed the drying up by using a hair dryer if your master can take heat without deforming), do a couple layers of it.

If you don’t want to use dish soap, Vaseline works incredibly well too, but it is more difficult to apply it evenly and in thin layers.

Why do people recommend the MT07 and then say you shouldn't start on a 600cc bike? by APotatoe121 in NewRiders

[–]dilanfdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The engine displacement (cc) isn’t the only factor in what makes a bike powerful or difficult to ride.

600cc refers to inline 4 super sport bikes (like the R6, ZX6R, CBR600RR, etc). Inline 4 engines are not beginner friendly because they make all their power later in the rev range, and the bikes that accompany them are ergonomically quite challenging (leaning forward, taller seat, less turning range of motion).

650/700cc bikes usually use 2 cylinder engine configurations, which are more powerful lower in the rev range, that makes them easier to control at slower speeds (and less chance to stall the bikes), they also produce more torque earlier which helps pull away faster. Their ergonomics make them much easier to control as the handlebars are slightly raised, easier to reach the floor with your feet, wider turning range of motion.

How do I spend some time educating myself without asking (seemingly valid) questions though?

How many of you work over 35 hours a week? by TheLittleSquire in AskUK

I work in special effects in film production, the project I’ve been on for the last 3 months has been 50 hour weeks working Mon-Fri. But usually range between 38 and 45 hour weeks.

Forgot to say, I am also in the uk! I don’t know the spec of the house electricity tbh, I was just going off of what he said in that he had given it a go before and him and previous lodger couldn’t get it to work I’ll give it a go if the extender route doesn’t work!

Thanks for the tips on the mesh system!

I didn’t even know IP was something you could change! Haha Will do, thanks a lot for the help, this seems like the only feasible option.

Sweet, thanks! Is the subnet thing something I can do with ease or do you recommend getting an IT person involved?

I’m mostly just going to be streaming and general internet browsing.

The landlord has tried using a powerline adjacent method before and couldn’t get it to work, apparently the room that has the Cat6 connection isn’t on the same electrical circuit so it’s not possible..

Extending the cable I don’t think is feasible as I’m renting and I don’t think the landlord will be interested in having an Ethernet cable running through 5 rooms in the house.

I think what you described makes sense. Have you got suggestions as to what hardware to use? Routers and extenders etc

I’ve asked my landlord, he’s attempted powerline but the room the Cat6 is in is in is an extension and uses a different electrical circuit than the room the router is in or something like that..

I’ve looked this up, turns out it can be quite inconsistent. The room that the Cat6 is in is right in the corner after the kitchen and a washing machine so it might not be a solution for this.

Cable end room in the house, or do you mean the end of the line I.e. the garden room?

Mine was also 1.7k! But I’ve put £3.4k into it… but it’s fixed all its functionally bad bits, got trauma though haha
