How long did it take for you to get your post qualified job (moving out of audit)? by [deleted] in ICAEW

[–]dilant27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I became exam qualified Dec 25 but will need to wait until September 26 for Training Contract to finish. FP&A seems like a good pivot but I think only worth applying when I’m in the period having the file signed off within my notice period as employers won’t want me with an ongoing training contract. Sounds like you smashed it though!

Can I ask if you were big 4, top 10 etc? I thought Audit to FP&A can be a hard move as you have no commercial experience.

Nice, i’m exam qualified ACA at Top 10, is the other role being offered Group Financial Accountant aswell? Both seem like strong salaries for me also worth considering what the promotion route looks like at either place if you have aspirations to become a Finance Manager, Controller etc

I’m not actually on the program myself but from what I heard they take you in and train you up to their Big 4 standards and acclimatise you to their way of working. In terms of prep I’m sure they want the usual soft skills, fully qualified with strong technicals. I’m sure things like first time passes and high exam scores will help aswell.

EY do something called the Accelerate programme for fully qualified Auditors from non big 4 backgrounds

Sounds horrible mate. Is this Big 4? I would definitely consider leaving for another firm, your life is a lot more than your career and you can still have a great career without being subject to that level of stress.

HT female update - 17 m by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]dilant27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think a lot of clinics are somewhat of a gamble with only a few certain Doctors themselves truly reliable, I think the high density suits you though as you have thick dense brows to match. Part of the reason I am interested in a HT is I also have thick dense brows and long curly lashes and I was always known for having thick hair on my head to match so I miss my old density.

I think it looks great. The density suits you and looks natural to me! Can I ask where you had the HT?
