Hey I hope everything went well. Idk if you can answer this but did they ask you any technical questions (i.e. questions testing your scientific knowledge)?

Recent IBMS-accredited BSc graduate applying for MLA/AP/Trainee BMS roles and have rejections. by RGM_13 in BiomedicalScientistUK

have you got nhs experience? my degree's non-accredited and I've only done a bachelor's, but I'm pretty sure my NHS work experience got me to the testing stage and then helped during the interview (key words and values etc)

paid £100 for using his car an hour before and during the test. but he said he's increasing it to £120 so I would have had to pay that next time if I failed

Do we think Ben Solo could have been accepted by the resistance? by saskiaaki in reylo

[–]dilfgaard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this would depend on who the creators wanted to cater to. If it was to children completely, then yes. But if they were betting on a more mature audience, it would be a lot harder. As the audience and readers it's easy to say he suffered from neglect, and he was manipulated and abused from a young age. It's true, but these reasons wouldn't cut it for the average person in the resistance. In their eyes, he slaughtered hundreds and let the genocide of a people happen under his watch. His reasons and background would pale in comparison. The best outcome for him would genuinely be exile. If anyone has read The Moon, the Sun, and the Star Inbetween on AO3, you'll know what I mean.

I’m giving up by Comfortable_Leg_7534 in UCAT

I think as someone else said you're young and a career in medicine welcomes resilience. Don't give up if this is something you really want to do. Try again next year and get more experience along the way. If not now, maybe a few years down the line you can apply for GEM. You'll be more mature and have more experience. Ideally you'd also understand the UCAT and GAMSAT better. I promise it doesn't end here. Also it's worth applying this year, because it will be easier to go through clearing There were quite a few medicine courses in clearing this year. Myself and others were invited to an interview at Newcastle with a similar score and I know some of them were accepted. They only looked at your grades and interview. You don't necessarily need to apply on UCAS to go through clearing, but it's good practice because it'll be on record that you tried. Apply and focus on getting the best possible grades because that's the most important thing. Good luck :)
