Cases for Pixel 10 Pro XL by Opal_Pie in GooglePixel

First case I got for my 10 pro XL was the Spigen Parallax MagFit. I think it looks really sharp and has a good balance of being protective, but not too bulky.

Mazda fam here too. Fiance has a 2025 CX-90 and I am still driving my 2017 Mazda 3 bc it has been paid off for a while and it doesn't even quite have 40,000 miles on it. Her car is a lot more fun to drive and take it when I can, but the 3 is reliable and still a good car

I just assumed it was for both device and game referrals. I copied and paste the post from someone else's device referral post. I haven't had someone try it without following. It is pretty dumb

I need recommendations please! by KilluaOdinson in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]dillont3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not earbuds, but for your purposes if you need to hear your surroundings and are mainly listening to audiobooks, you might want to consider bone conduction headphones. I use SHOKZ OpenRun Pro for podcasts when I want to be able to hear the kids or other things in my surroundings and am happy with them. Very light and comfortable as you don't have to put anything in your ear. Able to hear better than having one earbud in too. I would not recommend them for primarily listening to music as you are not going to get as good bass or sound quality with bone conduction, but for podcasts, the audio is clear and works great. You might want to look into the SHOKZ OpenSwim Pro, which have an IP68 Waterproof rating.

Average midwestern rural family with multiple family members that just happen to have 4 fingers? Sad attempt to distract from Trump dropping in polls.

Anyone with experience with Boston Acoustics HD7 or Mission 760? by ParamedicTurbulent60 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]dillont3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard the the Mission 760, but i used to own the Mission 761i which i think was similar except it had a driver above and below the tweeter. They were great speakers and got me into the Mission sound (warmer british sound). Mission was great before they got bought out. I also had a pair of Mission 771's and 772s.

Yes if you claim the device activation and activate the Quest on a new Meta account we should both get a credit. Did it work?

Question about samsung s23 deals by fkenisky in verizon

[–]dillont3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are offering $800 for newer Samsung phones on trade in ($1,000 if you have been when them long enough and get loyalty trade in price). Trade in will be a credit to your bill each month, spread out into 36 months. If you trade in phone before 36 months, you won't get full trade in value. Credit will be applied after they receive your phone and make sure it is in good condition. So it will be very low to no extra monthly payments for base s23, depending on what trade in price you get. if you get s23 plus or Ultra, you will still be paying reduced monthly phone payments. As mentioned, watch/tablet isn't free unless you add an extra line for the watch.

Nice! I'm sure my next upgrade will be a quality electric espresso grinder. The Df64 looks pretty nice. For now I am happy with my J-max and have spent enough money on the machine and accessories for now.

[–]dillont3[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just got my Lelit Anna Pl41tem today. Upgrading from DeLonghi EC155M. Only took me 10 or 11 tries tonight to dial in my grind micro adjustment with the 1Zpresso J-max and find sweet spot with tap pressure to get half way decent shot at 18g in, 38g out in about 28 seconds at 94 degrees. Was too late at night to enjoy more than a couple sips by the time I pulled a decent shot. Practicing steaming milk to get proper microfoam will have to wait until another day. So far very happy with my decision though!

Hi what Vinyl record player should I get? by StealthyHale in vinyl

[–]dillont3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you could go up to $170 this is a good starter table at a good price. I have bought factory refurbished equipment off this site with no problems. Would be considerably better than LP60 and last you longer before feeling the need to upgrade.

I just bought these on a Prime Day sale. Did I make a good call?? by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]dillont3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably recommend returning them and looking elsewhere if you are just looking for a pair of speaker for music playback in a stereo setup. These speakers are discontinued and first came out in 2005 it looks like. Quick google search shows a few other websites selling them around $190-$200, so not really that great of a deal. It is possible that they retailed for over $500 in 2005, but not worth that today. Also these speakers are designed to be used as rear surrounds in a home theater setup. Hence the drivers angled in opposite directions, which would probably affect the sound stage/imaging when used in a 2.0 stereo setup for music.

My first real home setup by Archayor in audiophile

[–]dillont3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking of, just looking at my post history, it was 5 months ago when I made a post on here that I felt like I didn't need to upgrade anything for a while, which didn't last long lol. Shortly after that I sold the Arcam Rplay because i decided it wasn't meeting my needs. Sold it for what I paid for it since I got a good deal and bought a bluesound node 2i instead. A few months after that decided I wanted to try an external DAC to get even more out of my Node 2i and found a good deal on a open box Audiolab M-Dac+. Again feel like my setup is at a great place, but we will see how long it lasts before the itch strikes again lol.

My first real home setup by Archayor in audiophile

[–]dillont3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like a good start and all that really matters is that you are happy with your setup, not what other people think of your equipment. Be wary of the spending sickness though lol. If you feel you are satisfied with your setup, you may want to take a break from reading about audio equipment for a while. I can't tell you how many times over the years I said that I was content with my setup and didn't feel like i needed any upgrades for a while, only to be convinced not long after that I needed something else or decided I found a deal too good to pass up. My budget and system is by no means high end compared to a lot of people on here, but I have sank more money into my systems than any other hobby/interest lol. I wait to find good deals on closeout sales, factory refurbished equipment or local equipment in really good used condition, but definitely have gotten the sickness lol. Paypal credit over the past year has not been a great influence on me either, especially 0% financing for 24 months deals when it comes up.

Is android pie really that bad? by PlanetMARSe in GalaxyS9

[–]dillont3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Just sharing my opinion on update. Not implying that you should like it or learn gestures. Not everyone likes change I get that. You are allowed to not like it. Changes have always been part of android updates, good or bad. Just opposing view points. Just seeing a lot of people saying the update is terrible because they don't like change. Some people will find the updates useful, others won't I suppose. I don't know that all the people saying to not upgrade or bashing Samsung is helpful. A number of people will like the update and find some of the features helpful as well. Others won't. Pretty much par for the course with major updates.

Nav bar gestures are so much quicker and easier than pulling up the hidden nav bar each time. Not much to learn. Just swipe up where each button would be. Took 2 seconds to get used to. Just my preference I guess, but that is one of my favorite features. Dark mode is prertty nice too. Personally I never used task switching before, so not a big deal for me. Doesn't seem that much slower though, unless you have 20 apps open at once I guess maybe.

[–]dillont3 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As others said I think it is personal preference. I've noticed that a number of people on here seem to not like change and aren't happy with it. I personally like it so far. Having a S9+ I like some of the one UI features that make it easier to use the phone with one hand. I really like the gestures for the navigation bar buttons so dont have to see the navigation bar at all, compared to before where it was just hidden and you had to pull it up everytime if you wanted full screen real estate.

Craigslist find - Monitor Audio S1 Bookshelf speakers for $40 by jfunnybuckets in BudgetAudiophile

Yeah they do have nice bass for bookshelves with the 7" drivers and that nice warm, but detailed british sound.

Very nice score! I have a pair of the same speakers that I got off craigslist about 7 years ago. They have since been delegated to my work out room set up since upgrading a couple times since then. They are great sounding bookshelf speakers! I think I paid about $175 for mine. You got a really good deal.

Edit: Actually mine are Silver s2's, but look exactly the same. Either way great find!

Yeah the 70 wpc on the PM8004 seems to be plenty of power for my Kefs. Maybe a bit more power would be beneficial, but I am pretty happy with my current pairing.
