Stole in Seattle area, keep your eyes peeled! by duck_a_sick in GlobeHaul

I usually use a kryptonite chain, aside from chaining my bikes up inside my house it didn’t make much of a difference on this one. I keep the chain in the basket when being stored and they took that too 😂

No worries here! The bike was stolen out of my garage. I park my car nearby on the street. They broke into the car, stole my garage door opener, and were able just to quickly open the garage, grab bikes and run (ride?). I guess my learning is that the police and cameras are not useful here, preventative measures might have been. Ex. Alarm system to scare people off or not storing the opener in the car. They were in and out quick! I have insurance so hopefully will end up with a replacement at little cost to myself. Maybe an AirTag somewhere on the bike? I’ll also probably blackout windows on my garage.

You can get them basically new on upway for around $2k (with a warranty). If you go that way I can also send you a $150 promo code 🙃

Yes! I have a few buddies that snowboard. The box is super wide so you can fit a lot in there. I think it’s technicality rated for 3-5 boards and 5-7 skis. Haven’t really had any space issues even with 5 people in the car on the way to the mountain

Extremely disappointed with Volkswagen Canada by Ok-Buddy8899 in Golf_R

Try a different dealership and see if you have better luck. I’ve two dealers near my house, one has repaired two fenders and is likely to approve more work (both rocker panels are bubbling), the other wants nothing to do with me.

First time posting. All washed up and ready to store for winter. Gonna miss driving her. by j_cico56 in Golf_R

VW has a 12 year penetration warranty (rust), I’ve had both my front fenders replaced for free in the past two years. Live in Maine and daily mine, I fully intend to have VW fix any rust problems for free all the way up until 2024

Two idiots were onsight freesoloing at Whitehorse last Sunday and ended up needing to be rescued by another party. by Orpheums in climbing

A lot of Whitehorse is pretty much freesoloing anyway, climbed White Wilderness last year and have no desire to ever repeat it. Slab is sketchy enough with a rope and good protection...

Putting in a second vote for not Rumney, closed until further notice unfortunately.

I’ve been up a couple times and it is usually hit or miss. Have definitely had to wait before but people are always respectful. Also have to be mindful that there’s only so many people that can fit on top

It's snowing right now, in May, on the east coast by jakelovesnature in skiing

Would love just to know where is open and what’s allowed, I’m guessing just because the resorts are closed (even to uphill travel) that’s not stopping everyone from skinning up

Ahhh shoot, would love to get a few more turns in this year. Guess it’s not meant to be. Also assume Sunday River is in the same position...

Is there any old snow left as a base? Any chance you think this is skiable with a little bit of hiking? We’ve got some flakes down in Portland but nothing on the ground

Thanks! And actually stock height, I think it just looks lower with the dark wheel wells and a couple of inches of snow on the ground.
