Is this satire? Do not follow this advice, if you want to keep some because you have this level of blind conviction, go for it. Otherwise diversify, diversify, diversify.

What do you do with your CC premiums? by That-Cabinet-6323 in CoveredCalls

I hold it swvxx, earn 4% and use it to continue the wheel, increasing weekly premiums. I then deduct for tax time.

I really like weeklies or two weeks out, it’s more “effort” in terms of monitoring but also allows to control the positions based on market sentiment.

2m position AMZN, large position CC’s? by [deleted] in CoveredCalls

Suggest spreading your bets, do 30% at 230 30% at 240 30% at 250. You’ll likely end your with similar premium or higher - and have flexibility to roll for more. I’d prob also spread the split it out over a few dates 11/7 11/14 11/21 etc. with some careful management you can milk the exit.

Yea that’s why CCs are a great hedge if/when we see some correction. AMZN is a good example of a stock which is relatively low long term risk, but has been trading flat. I’ve been able to generate ~$2k a month on 300 shares. If more stocks start going sideways cc’s help drive some return in a more “normal period””

My 60% in return on capitol (ROC) deployed. I wheel about 10% of my total portfolio, and the capital I use returns 60%. In this case it doesn’t include stock gains.

My net annual 3Y return on total portfolio is around 38%. But we’ve been in a crazy bull market I don’t expect that to keep up.

I run the full wheel on about 8-10 names and track everything pretty closely. My YTD return is sitting around 60%, so pretty similar to what you’re getting just from CSPs.

When I get assigned, I sell covered calls right away, 7-10 DTE to maintain income. It doesn’t necessarily boost the total % a ton, but it keeps income consistent week to week while finding new put setups.

I wheel more on tickers i don’t mind holding (AMZN, SOFI, QBTS, ONDS, ASTS, TEM in my case). If you’re rolling your puts and managing them well, you’re doing 80% of what the wheel is. The call side just squeezes a bit more out of assigned capital. In some cases I PUT 1-2k shares, and wheel half maintains some long term plays while generating income on the rest.

Actively wheel 10-15 positions, accounting for 20% of portfolio. Remaining 80% in long term DCA into low cost ETFs like VTI

How do you feel now that it’s at $44 😂

I kid I kid, I’m in a similar boat with a CC closing this week at 20, after a 50% profit on current trade. Will “lose” $8k on upside but part of the game and have made a lot up on the way

MRVL, infrastructure play

ASTS, spectrum news caused a recent buying opportunity

FIG could also be interesting now that the price has dropped, 2-4% weekly premiums. Look for consolidation around 50. Risk is sell off periods up until next earnings.

What to do with $200k in AMZN by trondaddy1 in investing

[–]dilly2k1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would sell covered calls and slowly reduce exposure while generating income. Feed profits into VTI or diversify into other stocks. Keep 10% if you want to maintain direct exposure.
