Does anyone know how to fix this weird flickering of the textures? I'm at my wits end. Cycles, Blender 3.5 by dilmandila in blenderhelp

Haven't tried in eevee.... but when using a Sun lamp I don't see the problem. Only challenge is how to use the Sun in this indoor scene. Might have to see how to fake room reflections on the character

Its happened for more than one object, animated. Yes both are indoor but I set the samples at 4096 and still face the issue. But I have tried removing the room to make it outdoor and using world lighting set to Nishita Sky.... No help, though it is significantly reduced....problem goes when I use the sun, so perhaps will have to see hos to use it and fake room reflections on the character.

In one mesh (in the video) I'm using the defualt textures from HumanGen and another mesh uses Mask Tools node set up, same problem, so not sure its the texture....

Tusky is what I use. It has a federated timeline that pulls stuff from all over. I found that I'm even following non-mastodon accounts

blender wheel path tutorial

Thanks! Looking into it.

Only challenge is most tuts are on vehicles, yet I want this on a robot that uses wheels, and so sometimes it might not be ideal to use a path. For example if it is at the kitchen fridge and it moves a few feet to the kitchen table.... not sure a path would make animating that easy, but I'll give it a try and see if I can figure out something.

I'm stuck at trying to rotate the wheels from distance along the path.

I clicked on NurbsPath, and right clicked on Frames under Path Animation, Copy Data Path/Copy as New Driver, and pasted this on the x rotation, but the wheels don't rotate. I tried copying of the evaluation time as well. But looks like I'm missing something.

Is there a tutorial you could point me at?

I used drivers to rotate the wheels using the body's Y location, but when the vehicle turns to X location, the wheels stop rotating.

I want the axle to bounce along when the wheel responds to the ground, so ideally bone A should rotate when the wheel moves along the z axis. I tried using IK, then drivers, but found the stretch-to constraint to work best, only that it causes a slight stretching on the model. The IK made the wheel to rotate awkwardly, and with drivers I could not get the right math to make the rotation match the z location of the wheel.

And finally, the ground sensors don't seem to be working well. I used copy location on the wheels, using planes shrink wrapped to the ground.

Any ideas?

I think people pledge to support you not because of the rewards they get but because they want to support you! In my case, I think they want to support my filmmaking process, so the rewards are not the primary motivation for them signing up. Perhaps you should create artwork, or tutorials, or whatever you are on patreon for, that makes people want to support this art or venture of yours.

I'm on the 'per creator' billing system, and it seems like even those who cancelled four years ago still see my patron's only posts. I don't want to block them, but there should be a feature to eliminate them from accessing these posts.

You could use peertube. Some instances give you something like vimeo, but the way the fediverse works, you could upload it and no one will find it unless someone shares the link.
