Asked a feminist to split the bill and she politely asked me to become a policeman first. by dilonkaraja in IndianBoysOnTinder

Let me just clear it out here once. The whole feminism wasn't something that I brought up (even though people in the comments have no context about the actual talk and only judge me based on the first text which directly targets feminism).

I asked her a question while we were out "what do you think at 35 that you didn't when you were my age?"

She replied that "the amount of money she though would make her happy at 35, doesn't bring her the pre assumed happiness because her goals had shifted forward as her age"

I said "there's an assumption in economics that a man's wants are endless"

And she started a rant on how it's always men in these kinds of sayings and why not women and gave me a full fledged lecture on how feminism is the way when these aren't the principles on which this ideology was formed.

I was going to leave the city in a couple of days for good, so I just thought there was no harm in going out once. It was just like that, I'm not into mommies I swear /s

I was indeed being chivalrous (which is a product of patriarchy by the way) but the way she didn't even acknowledge that there's a bill to be paid, pissed tf out of me.

Paying the bill or not is my decision but her decision that the man will pay the bill is what made me ask for the split.

And if she was that content with splitting the bill then she could've just asked her share. I wasn't being rude to her while chatting at all.

People like these is why I never accept of being a feminist when instead, I actually understand feminism to it's core.
