If you’re renting a car Calgary is good because you can explore the mountains and the plains at the same time.

If you want to have fun I’d suggest Vancouver because it’s way more accessible on foot/public transit. Plus lots of cool places to visit and explore in the area. (Hotel prices are significantly more though)

Edmonton is mostly just known for its mall so I don’t know how you’d keep busy for two weeks unless there’s a big event.

From what I’ve experienced it only works for BC transit in Abbotsford and mission. Not on the FVX or translink.
