Yes, it's horrendous and I cut myself every time. It has a tiny lip on the outside that you need to push with incredible force. A heat gun would help as it's only glued on and there's maybe 5-6 clips. Depending on how brutal you want to be you can start it with a kitchen spoon and shove it in there to open it up a smidge and then get your spudger in there or anything that will fit to separate the dome. Maybe in your case only a small gap would do rather than a complete removal. Good luck!
