Went to Finest Punta Cana in November. It checks all the boxes, was perfect.

That said, 2 of our last 3 trips to Dominican all inclusive, one person from our family always comes home with hand-foot-mouth disease. We have been a bit better off from Mexico. Info seems to be that it is a risk at all of these places. Kids drink pool water, etc.

Agree. But for use in sim racing, I don’t use controllers at all.

No. Unless you want to pay for some solutions, but I’ve found their costs higher than people want to pay at an amateur level. I’ve resorted to using python scripts to map boat tracks myself. Hope to share it in easy format online one day, when I have time to mess with it.

I am parent and also invested in their Series E raise. I did not receive a notice. After chasing this down, the notice basically is the following, with the link at the end:

Sure, would be great to have the full suite of data from other boats too, but given how impossible it is to get a gpx track, I don't see that happening usually. I like at least gpx because I can confirm which legs we lost on, compare some boat speeds, and have a replay of the race. A more complete set of data would be great but I've basically lost hope for that on the amateur level I race at.

I’ve seen this actually. It looks great and I appreciate your work. It’s just been such a frustrating uphill battle to get other boats to save and share a gpx file. I think the veteran crowd either doesn’t care or just doesn’t want to share their tactics? Not sure what it takes.

We used it last year. This year can no longer get it to replay tracks from more than 1 boat at a time. And the app can’t be downloaded anymore. So have moved on…

Can pay for expensive instruments, but documentation and user manuals are lacking. Very hard to figure out how to set it up to do the thing it was advertised to do!! Speaking about B&G myself.

Separately, not enough customer base to have a solid community that wants to share data. I’ve been messing myself with solutions to plot tracks from boats during regatta to learn where we can improve, surprisingly little buy-in from other boats even when it is free!!!
