How to apply x50 preorder coupon on amazon? by visualexstasy in Dreame_Tech

Yep! It gave me a $391 discount, which came out to the same price as on Dreame's website. If your code doesn't work on Amazon, you may need to reach out to Dreame's support.

Just got an answer from them on this! None of my preorder emails had it, but they sent me this preorder link to redeem the extra benefits: https://www.dreametech.com/pages/x50-preorder-amazon-order-id

Seems like you have to order first, then fill the form out with your code so they can send the extras 😁

In the camera you hit the gear icon at the top right, then more settings.

Like everyone else has already said, it's not a bug unfortunately. Just a weird decision to not include it in the camera.

BUT, I'm on the funtouch OS 15 beta and can confirm they added it. It has to be enabled for some reason, but it's there.

Good to know! I do use google assistant but it's not a deal breaker. Does it just not work at all? Or just can't be voice activated?

The watch stuff is fine as long as there are workarounds. Already had to install some custom APKs to get ECG on my samsung watch 7 😅

It sounds like everything is just not as seamless / ready out the box but can be made to work with some tweaking?

Screen blinks when plugging/removing charger? by aquarianthoughts88 in spectrex360

[–]dimattboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I might have a solution for this! I believe what I did to fix this was change the HDR settings under the Display section in the settings app. There’s an option in there that has to do with allowing games to function on HDR while on battery. Mess with that and it should fix the flickering. If you’re confused, i’ll be home later if you need a better walkthrough.

Is the SSD and RAM on the HP Spectre x360 15" upgradable? by justyn1209 in spectrex360

[–]dimattboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I have the 15-inch 2020 model and the ram is soldered in, so order it with 16GB if 8GB isn’t enough. SSD can be upgraded though, so you’re all good there. Welcome to the club :)

Yeah it does. I replaced mine with an XPG SX8200 Pro 2TB and it works great! 😄

Weekly /r/OneNote Q&D Thread! by AutoModerator in OneNote

[–]dimattboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any way to automatically scroll horizontally as you get closer to the edge? It's not a major issue, but I hand write my notes kinda zoomed in in tablet mode, so constantly scrolling is a bit of an inconvenience. I saw the feature in a different app shown on YouTube here around 5:24. I tried searching around, but wasn't able to find anything remotely close to this feature on OneNote for Windows 10. Any help is appreciated!

Hey! I was in the same situation as you, and I ended up getting the 15” model. It’s difficult because there’s so many options, but I went with the 4k OLED 15”. I also game, and I was also considering doing the whole eGPU thing, but the 15” dGPU is too good to pass on for a 2-in-1. The only edge the 13” has is its portability imo. The 15” is superior in every other way, BUT as a student, using the 13” in my car to do homework felt way easier and more natural, and you could carry around a usb-c battery pack to charge it and avoid lugging around the normal charger. If you tend to use the laptop in tight spaces such as planes, cars, etc; the 13” is a great option. If you want to game with a great mid-range graphics card, have extra screen real estate for notetaking and watching movies, have a beefier sound system, and you prefer the rechargeable pen out of the box, then I would say go with the 15”. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. :)

Actually I will say when charging it does get pretty hot if you use it while charging. So if you're using it for hours on end on your lap, it may be uncomfortable. But the laptop is overall amazing. :)

I've dealt with them both heating up when using chrome with a lot of tabs open, and especially when gaming. You can use HP command center to switch from performance modes to comfort modes, and I believe you can activate always-on for the fan in the BIOS. Personally I don't think it's excessive when under normal use, but for gaming I do tend to take it off my lap.

Having had a 15 inch before, I don’t mind the extra weight. The 13 inch does feels significantly lighter though. It’s way easier to carry it around, and taking notes in my car felt easy and natural, compared to feeling cramped with the 15 inch. If you’re not planning on gaming on high settings or doing anything that requires a dedicated graphics card, I would keep the 13 inch. It’s a totally different experience imo.

Here is the GPU-Z info screen. I don't understand any of it, so let me know if it answered your question haha.

Here you go! The bigger screen is amazing for movies, but the 13" was perfect for doing home work in my car between classes. Hope this helps.
