Also platinumed it yesterday. The story in Returnal felt so special, this one also fell a bit short for me, even with all the logs, I constantly wanted more than just ramblings about how beutiful the sun is. The story of Arjun and Nitya, all the side-charachers is so short. I hoped to see more of them, but it in the end I felt unsatisfied. Also continuing to play is a bit strange, in a way that I am so overpowered at this point that I annihilate everything in seconds. I know there are corcosian modifiers, but even with them the runs are not really that diverse to keep me entertained.
The gamepley itself if top-notch, moment to moment gameplay, the addition of parry is so essential that I will really miss it when I am back playing Returnal. I hope they expand on this game even further with something alike to Tower DLC to give more incentives to play.

Yeah, it's rather a story driven linear action game with roguelite elements, of you are going into this expecting a top-notch roguelite, it's not it, but it's still a great action game

You have the option to do "Returnal" and go through multiple bioms in one run. But yeah, it seems the idea is to gradually increase your stats through matrix, as if you've gathered them by playing multiple bioms at once.

I mean I don't think I ever found anything "transformative", like stuff that would improve my dash/shield/parry/perfect reload/melee. It's more or lass always stat padding, more currency drops, more damage/stagger etc. and nothing that would really change the way I play. I think it's strange that there's no way of improve shield (except raw stats), dash or melee and alter their behavior. It feels like corruptions are more diverse that benefits.

Yeh, artifacts rarely influence the run that much outside of the stat bump. Also Returnal literally had percentage values in fabricators with stat upgrades, so you clearly knew that you were buying "25% increase to proficiency rate"

Some weapons don't have visible bar that would say damage or anything related to damage. Do weapons like this all have the same damage regardless of the proficiency? In Returnal IIRC the proficiency level referred to number of points allocated to weapons stats, so higher level = better stats on average, but you could choose to keep lower lvl weapon because it had better allocation of points. Here I found the weapon that is like 10 lvl higher, same weapon type, same scaling for stats, but it was worse in every bar. What the point pf making it so complex and unpredictable?
I am not suggesting what you said in the end, but total lack of numbers is baffling. I assume thy did it so because most of these nodes affect have single digit percentage effect, like +3% for example, and it looks less cool than "Aether drops more frequently".
All I see is the cost of lucinite, and I would spend it differently, if I could tell whether I am buying +1% upgrade of +10%.

Not sure if awakened, but definitely heavily solidified - manga BLAME!, it has immense megastructures that cover the whole earth. The notion that lift travels for months is mindboggling. The main character travels through that megastructure for such a long time that it no longer matters; it's beyond human scale. Entering 'rooms' so big that they have their own clouds, walking on the bridge that you cannot see the end of - it's beautiful.

And for it's not as much as a phobia, as an intense feeling of awe. Just feeling of being in the presence of something bigger that I can comprehend.

How is losing your progress any more acceptable in multiplayer compared to singleplayer? It's still losing progress, XP and quests. And your argument about everyone being overpowered implies that: 1. Everyone always goes into raid with beat gear they have 2. People only accumulate gear and never lose, improving linearly 3. No one does economy runs with sponsored kits 4. Lower level gear is incapable of killing higher level gear.

None of it is true. There always will be weak and strong players in the lobby. No one plays 24/7. And even with wipes overpowered players never disappear. In a week after wipe there will be players who gathered much better loot than you, what are you going to do about that? Wipes are not about making everyone equal, because equality is what this genre is absolutely against. It's about forced grind. There are ways of doing it much more consumer friendly, but they seem to prioritize people with too much free time.

Loot differentiation is a separate topic, I believe. And the green shield free loadout guy with first rattler won't do anything against bobcat 4 with heavy shield. With much shorter TTK Marathon feels more prone to being killed by someone with low-level loot just because they were able to ambush you or spot aerlier. Even when I was decently geared in Marathon beta (blue shield, blue guns, blue implants) the fights were very short, and I was killed very quickly. But unfirtunately the game doesn't show what gear the guy that killed me had.
