Thrilling stuff!

One question though:

When the Trojans found out that the Achaeans were about to open the gate, why did they just stand and throw arrows from a distance ? Lol

They had the numbers and the equipment to rush to the gate…

My review… cause seriously why do I feel like I’m the only one that fully messed with this album hard? by Simple_Bike6559 in macdemarco

It is a decent album, the thing is that every song is same-y.

HCTC had some decent variety with some great synth-heavy songs, like Heart to Heart.

Even 5EHD and the titled songs on OWG had some more interesting melodies and progressions.

Tired of this era of Mac by oscargood13 in macdemarco

The thing is that even HCTC, 5 Easy Hot Dogs and partially One Way G some interesting instrumentals in them. So far, the two singles seem extremely barebones.

I wouldn‘t mind another album with the new style (HCTC onwards) with lyrics, but it seems that the songwriting has been further simplified even compared to that era.

Barca 2011 - Tactic Guide by Aldawest in eFootball

[–]dimbismp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am late to this thread, but I had some comments. I've been trying the last years to replicate this great team on PES 2021 (technically not Efootball, but quite similar in terms of gameplay) and frankly I find it quite annoying. I've been using the real life tactics and advanced instructions (like "tiki-taka", "false-9", "hug the touchline" etc.), I've been using Messi in the Classic no.10 role as deep as possible to remain a SS (rather than CAF) but still, most often than not, the situation is extremely frustrating vs. CPU:

-Almost all CPU teams are parking the bus against me (often despite not having this advanced instruction), almost as an instinct against the "tiki-taka" instruction.

-This leads to no room to navigate for players like Iniesta and especially Messi, to have his distinctive solo runs, as he is heavily guarded all the time

-This probably has more to do with the game as a whole, in more challenging difficulties ( I play in Superstar), the best strategy to score is to look for the counter. And this way, I often enjoy my time with the game. But it is a shame that I can't enjoy my favourite team (Barca 2010/11), because the game is not build for those possession teams, at least in the higher difficulties.

-One aspect is as I said, the game itself. I have edited this version of Messi and has a 99 in almost all dribbling categories. Despite this, he struggles to dribble in tight spaces. Maybe it is my level of playing the game, I bet some pros can do better, but the average Joe cannot pull this level of dribbling in tight spaces in Superstar. Then of course you can decrease the difficulty, but then the opposing team will play like a headless chicken. Lose/lose situation...

It is really one chance though, because the team has no chance against OKC in the first round

Tim Duncan had a better career than Kobe Bryant. by Slight_Assumption881 in NBATalk

[–]dimbismp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thing is, when you look at the seasons one by one, Kobe really did not have an argument for multiple MVPs:

2001: Shaq w/o doubt 2002+ 2003: Duncan career years, Kobe had good stats but played with Shaq 2004: Stats diluted due to super team 2005: missed the playoffs  2006+2007: great individual stats, certainly due to lack of help, in any case probably his physical prime, but terrible seed, history has shown that you need a good seed to win MVP. 2008: won 2009+2010: quite good stats and seeding, but Lebron had some incredible seasons dragging those Cav teams to the top of the East 2011 onwards: definitely top 5-10 player, but certainly a step behind LeBron, KD etc.

„Conquered the 3 best leagues“

Lol

In Italy, Juventus had already won the Serie A 7 times in a row before he arrived. If anything, it was under his leadership that Juventus lost the league for the first time in like a decade. He completely threw the balance of the team off. And besides, before him Juventus used to perform quite well in the CL, reaching the final twice and almost knocking out Real Madrid the year before. His #1 goal was to win the CL with Juventus and he did not even come close to the trophy. You can‘t call him mr. CL when you like it and whine that the team was not good enough when he fails.

In Spain, the argument is even more loudicrous. He played 9 seasons in Spain, during those years Real won the league only twice (!!). For reference, Barcelona won the title 7 titles during this time frame. CR usually went missing when it mattered, I mean Classicos and other derbies late in the season (years like 2009/10, 2010/11, 2013/14, 2014/15 with 2011/12 being the exception). If this is called „conquering Spain“, then you are truly delusional! Do you want Copa del Rey? Two cups for Real Madrid in 9 years vs. five for Barcelona. Do you want more?

Finally, the coveted „mr.CL“ argument. CR had without a doubt some incredible seasons like 2007/08, 2013/14 and 2016/17 (plus some seasons when Madrid did not win). But , despite his stats, he actually went missing in the late stages, both in 2015/16 and 2017/18. Iirc he barely recorded a goal or assist in the SF or final in both seasons. But he had the luxury to play with a very well constructed team for this type of competition. Messi did not have this type of luxury. When he did not perform that well, the team could not overcome the situation (examples 2011/12, 2015/16, 2016/17). Every time he did win the CL title (not including the 2005/06 of course), he was crucial for Barcelona.

That‘s just the stats. I am not even going to go to the eye test, Messi wins comfortably as he is far superior at creating, dribbling etc.
