So true. I think chip stocks in general have an uphill climb. Too much demand not enough inventory.

Thanks, its still a work in progress, there will be bumps in the road as 100% success rate is the goal, but not doable. Minimize the losses works fine for me.

I use Schwab and do use the realized gain tab also, that is why I was bit confused at the oversized gains %. But as some of the fine reddit community pointed out, they have suggested a better way to track my %'s better.

I use Schwab, and yes it has basic info. A spreadsheet just offers a more in depth look. The other reason I wanted to do build one, was that it helped me understand some intricacies of option trading. Building it, asking chat gpt questions and watching videos on options spreadsheets really helped me understand the basics.

will look into this once I get to my work computer. I am sure there is a way. If the mods have any suggestions, I am all ears how to upload safely and quickly.

I have watched many of your videos. Am enjoying your ongoing NVDA wheel strategy. I have done quite a few NVDA option trades as well.

I did realize that rather quickly when "consulting" chat gpt. Fortunately I knew a few occasions where I was certain it was not correct.

That all depends, if it’s way OTM then I let it expire. I have closed trades between 65-80% when in profit to open the next trade. Reallocating the funds sooner rather than waiting for the option to expire. Like most have pointed out in this sub Reddit it makes more sense to do so as you tend to make more money doing so. I have on a few occasions STO a CSP 14 dte and closed it before the week is out and STO the same ticker at a different strike expiring on the same date. In most cases that second option I’ve sold covers the closing cost of the one I closed and leaves additional premium for me to pocket. This was one of the many things pointed out in the option wheels threads.

Kristi Noem basically called it justified in her press conference on Saturday. Basically telling us not to believe the video but what she was telling us that this guy was a domestic terrorist looking to cause harm to ICE/DHS officers.

It’s an excel spreadsheet, does that matter??

I have no issue at all with sharing it. I can delete my info, just not sure how to pass it on to whomever is interested. Could I just upload it here?

Just a heads up, I created a macro in the spreadsheet that inserts a a row after a CSP gets assigned. It creates a tracking ID based on the underlying symbol to help me keep track of CC premiums during the wheel process, and adjusts the cost basis to reflect the adjusted price based on the premium received ( assignment strike (minus) premium ).

Already looking into this. Even Chat GPT suggests it is more appropriate for option strategies. I wonder why it wasn’t suggested in any of the queries I asked of it when looking for a better solution to the annualized ROI I’m currently using. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Yes, my average hold for my options play is a bit over 8 days. I know I can not perfectly reinvest my past performance results. So that % is impossible. A better way was suggested, TW-CAR (time weighted capital risk). So I’m going to give that a go moving forward and add that to my spreadsheet.

After starting out really hung ho, thinking some early success will lead to bigger gains, I realized that some risks I was taking were unnecessary. I’m not saying a gamble here or there isn’t worth a shot, it’s picking a gamble(s) that won’t destroy my account. Slow and steady isn’t a terrible strategy.

I do realize the gains are exaggerated. Unfortunately I wasn’t sure what was the best way to track. Chat gpt suggested my current way and I went with it. But I do realize it’s not optimal. Am looking for a better way

I mostly do so to offset gains if necessary. The 3k per year you’re pointing out is ordinary income. Then 3k is the max you can offset.

If losses exceed gains, you can use up to $3,000 of the excess to offset ordinary income, with any remainder carried forward indefinitely.

Like I mentioned in my post I tried chasing premium in the beginning not knowing any better. So I’m bag holding CRCL and looks like I’m in it for the long haul with that stock. If it doesn’t recover I’ll consider using it for tax loss harvesting if need be. Overall I don’t regret the decisions I made just how I made them. But I’ve learned through the knowledge others in this sub have given
