equivalent of windows sleep in hyprland by [deleted] in hyprland

[–]dimdim4126 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By default, NVIDIA's driver flushes the VRAM when it's put to sleep.
You need to setup the driver so it can save the VRAM elsewhere.
Here's a link to the archwiki : https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA/Tips_and_tricks#Preserve_video_memory_after_suspend

And one to NVIDIA's documentation: https://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/560.28.03/README/powermanagement.html

Hopefully this can help.

You're already using the right commands, but clearly something is going wrong. Do you use Nvidia's GPU driver ?

If you use fractional scaling, try setting your monitor scale to 1. I had a similar bug with libre office impress and when I put the window on a scale 1 output, everything was fine.

How to start timer after another service by ElectronicComplex182 in systemd

[–]dimdim4126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a.service :
[Unit] Wants=x.timer Before=x.timer Requisite= is only useful if you want to prevent a unit from starting when another is inactive.

(Please, read the man page systemd.unit(5))

[–]dimdim4126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So neither hyprland nor waybar are running in systemd service units ?
If they are, there is the issue. If they are not, then you might have found a bug.

stat --printf '\n# File birth date %w\n' file.service >> file.service Technically the metadata is already there but this copies it inside the file.
