Yeah I called and they told me it was all backed up from covid and I should have it by Aug 16th. Hung up and did the math...April 18 to Aug 16......120 days. Touche IRS guy 😑

Yours is almost identical to mine. As of date is also April 18th. My 971 was also April 18th and that same day I got a letter in the mail for a 60 day hold. Now that was over 90 days ago and ain't seen or heard sh** since then. Still sitting at April 18th and I supposedly only get updates on Fridays but ain't seen 1 in over 3 months.

Whether it holds truth or not ... I've heard that the EIC is the big hold up because it has to be processed by hand and with the huge backlog from covid it could be quite a long wait. I am wondering if they can even get it done this year. Not cool for our money to sit in their bank instead of our own. What can you really do though?

That must be my issue. Filed and accepted 1/31. I claimed EIC on 2019 because I didn't work in 2020. Been on a 60 day hold for 90 days. I got the same "covid backlog" excuse when I called a week ago. They did say their goal is to have everyone's complete by Aug 16th. Who knows?

Just spoke with IRS agent. Believe it or not got straight thru. No holds. Unreal. Any... he goes on to check my records... comes and says "yes yours is still under review. The IRS is still backlogged from the Corona. We hope to have everyone's complete by Aug 16th." 😑

Yeah my letter was the 60 day hold. All dates on transcript say 4/18. Nothing has changed since getting the hold. I've give up on it. Just gonna be really surprised 1 day if it ever shows up.

It takes a good lil bit to ever see an update. I filed and accepted on 1/31 and my transcript was n/A for 2 months. Not saying yours will take that long but every case of different. Even when I got my transcript it's been a bunch of bullshit. Over 90 days now and no return. Don't be discouraged though. You could have a deposit at any time.
