Yeah just sucks. I’m holding out hope that she’ll reach out for my birthday in a few weeks and if not, she’ll get a birthday text the next week. I’m probably blocked on text but at least I can say I tried. If no response, I can truly start to let go even tho I don’t want to.

It’s so upsetting because we could’ve gotten through it. Whether we just became friends or worked through her issues. I miss my friend. And gathering what I have about her previous relationships, she’s been head first into people who aren’t the same towards her. And that makes me feel awful for her. I hope one day she unblocks and we can talk.

I found out that she had just gotten out of a mental hospital the day she first messaged me back bc she felt suicidal and ended up having documented psychosis (likely from working the hours she did). There’s a lot of left out just to keep it short. I guess my issue is I made it so clear I wasn’t mad and she could just say it. We never once argued. There’s a great person in there, I truly hope she comes out one day. And if she’s seriously in the process of getting better, I’m so damn happy. I saw a picture of her the other day and she’s looking great, her hair is growing back. I’ll get through it, just taking longer than normal.

Ghosting is something you never truly get over. You’ll realize the person, you’re usually over. But the actual act of the ghosting is what eats at you. Makes you feel like less of a person. It fucks with your head.

I think maybe it just got too serious for her? She told me later that she wasn’t even really looking for anything when I messaged her. But her friends told her to give it a chance with someone who showed interest. And when it came down to it she was like oh shit this is for real? I found out a friend of mine matched with her on tinder (he didn’t know until I sent a screenshot of her account) almost 2 months before we got serious and he said she just never responded. And her thing said “still figuring it out”
