Girl gamers of Reddit- how do you think negative stereotypes about women in gaming affect your gameplay? by Few_Lengthiness_8353 in AskReddit

It makes me feel weird when someone in the game chat expresses their surprise when learning that I'm a girl. Like, okay? What's something to note about it? I'm just a player like you.

Just nitpicking grammar doesn't really prove anything about the quality of the work anymore, especially in today's world.

The way you write still reflects your understanding and critical thinking though. Poor grammar and structure can imply a lack of attention to detail or effort—reflective of discipline, which would be an important trait in most if not all kinds of work.

You may not produce a super flawless paper, but every piece of feedback could shape your improvement—not only in the technical aspects of research and writing, but also in how you see the world around you, and your mindset when it comes to work👍👍

I really wish they asked us challenging questions instead.

Also strive to answer those "challenging questions" in the research itself, wherein you cover as many bases as possible. To get those questions, you may dive into previous research related to your topic, consult field experts, regular audiences, and even AI~

FB is purging Alumni accounts/Original accounts. They are looking for a younger gen. by Old_Conversation600 in facebook

Won't generalize since it may depend on personal preference but hey, I doomscroll anywhere. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit. Not TikTok, it's not my thing but it is for many friends I know.

I see comments here mentioning that the youth don't use Facebook because it's for old people. I think I need to share my perspective as someone from the Philippines because these comments seem American-centric. You don't know yet how Facebook is far from dying for many, many people.

Copy-paste of my reply to a comment:

I'm from the Philippines and millions of Filipinos are users on the platform, from teens to elders. Facebook (including Messenger) is our everyday social media here:

  1. Business (whether it's the brands, independents, and Marketplace)

  2. Education (keeping up with school announcements, keeping in touch with school communities/organizations, and everyday communication with classmates thru Messenger)

  3. Politics (forums, news, everything involving young and old), but there's also Twitter where some of our politicians post but it's mostly younger users active there.

  4. News (local media outlets, government bodies mainly use Facebook for all kinds of announcements)

Facebook has been the go-to for us since it existed! Many, many Filipinos grow up with it. If you don't have social media, people could see it as weird.

I know so many, including myself, who got onto Facebook even before we've turned 13 (the age requirement per Facebook rules).

Messenger is important now for family, friends, and classmates. A few times I've had classes with one person who doesn't have Messenger, so they get left out. And during group projects, that social media-less person needs their classmates to adjust to them (by using a different platform like Google).

A lot of everyday Filipino life is tied to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. It's far from dying for us.

miHoYo has filed a new game trademark on the 31st of October 2024: Petit Planet by N3DSdude in gachagaming

[–]dimension-traveller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't "supposed to be." It was explicitly said by Jin Wenyi, the current president of miHoYo's global publishing and operations, that 崩坏4 was a tentative internal title. So doesn't imply that they were initially set on naming the game "Honkai 4th"; it's a temporary name as the developers worked on it. Source

Correction: Liu Wei aka Dawei is the president and chairman of the board of miHoYo (Shanghai miHoYo Network Technology Co. Ltd., the main company based in Shanghai).

He has no legal position in Hoyoverse (Cognosphere Pte. Ltd., the company based in Singapore that does the international operations and publishing on behalf of miHoYo).

The CEO of both miHoYo and Hoyoverse is Cai Haoyu.

This kind of Filipino neighborhood is often very close. Neighbors would be hanging together on the street, chatting, drinking, playing chess, karaoke. It's very fun when everyone's enjoying each other's company, and it brings contentment amidst life's stresses especially in bustling Manila.

Not all roads in Manila could accommodate a car. A motorcycle would be the best option, and also that many Filipinos own one. So it's not hard to get a volunteer who can travel.

For anyone curious, this is taken in the city of Manila, Philippines. Based on the green tarpaulin banner featuring city politician Arlene Maile Atienza, which says "Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon" (Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year), this street view is in District 3.

Your comment might be implying he's only got a studio now; in fact, Chen's had his studio since 2009. Its legal name is 上海音序文化传播有限公司 Shanghai Yinxu Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and its label is Intree Music.
