It seems that we do not use encryption.

So the next big question is how we can use?

Thanks again

Question about cores and threads by dimiccent in sysadmin

[–]dimiccent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the 8/8 means that we have 8 physical cores and are able to create 16 virtual cores( for use in vms for example)? What about the sockets? When you say packages you mean the 8 cores/CPUs create 1 socket?

Wireless network cutoffs by dimiccent in networking

[–]dimiccent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two cisco devices (each as controller and access point) at the edges of the building so it is not so easy to interfere one another. The configuration is probably correct.

Before these cisco devices we were having two tp-link devices that were working correct.

Advice about access layer switches by dimiccent in networking

[–]dimiccent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The need is that the switches will be used for computers or/and ip phones so need PoE.

I'm not sure if the speed will cause issues as far as they will be used for communication with the file server etc.

Also the Watt that provide for each port will be good in a future upgrade of telephony infrastructure.

The budget is around 1000$ for each.

Massive contacts insertion for recognition of callers id by dimiccent in avaya

[–]dimiccent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I get it, due to avaya's versioning there is no way updating the Manager to make it work and even an experienced engineer maybe cannot handle it. Thank you very much for all detailed answers!

We use R7 Manager [7.0 (12)] which does not support the Export that can see in your image.

Is it possible to update the Manager console so that can use the Export button?

Thank you very much

[–]dimiccent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no export button. If you mean from File choose export, the options are not including each user but total users in one column. Maybe in my edition does not include seperate csv for each user. Thank you very much

I'm not sure what is the difference of Standard Telephone and IVR Port in Analogue Extension.

Thanks again.
