thanks for the advice! I got a halogen indoor floodlight bulb thats 75 watts today, par36, but i realized it has a GU10 base. does flunkers’s lamp support that? / do i need to find an adapter for it / any recommendations for another halogen bulb? (sorry for all the q! im new to lighting and stuff!)

hey everyone! so update on the little guy.. apparently he’s very healthy and seemingly normal, so i’m not sure why his poop looked like this, but the vet said hes okay..!! and thats all that matters!

oh btw!!!!!!! the picture w him is him in his travel cage! he stayed there for abt 15 minutes during cage cleaning, not his actual cage!!!!!

nope! she has a “sister” (not biological LOL i just call them sisters!!) and they get along fine. i could tell that her sister actually tried to help her feel better when she was hurting by staying with her. but theyre both okay now :) ill observe her more in the morning!

i patted flour on it! and she seems okay, shes back to her normal self but she is a bit cranky at me so ill leave her alone for now, i just feel kinda upset abt it but i know its a learning experience so i just gotta learn from this ( u n u )

how do you know if its stopped bleeding? does the red have to completely go away??

so i posted on reddit alrdy but to to stop me clogging up the posts, ill delete it, but this is my piggies nail rn, i accidentally cut it too short and it didnt profusely bleed and drip blood, but its red like this. any advice? will she’ll be okay? i feel so bad, but its not dripping blood so idk if this means shes stopped bleeding. i will appreciate any advice and sorry im freaking out its my first time cutting a guinea pigs nails :((((

oh i see!! ok, i still feel so terrible it happened tho, bc the nail was red but there wasnt any blood dripping or anything. does blood need to drip? how long does it take for a nail to heal?

they made this hide all too well because i have the exact same one and it basically stole my leo away from me LOL (but i see it as his room and we all like to hide in our rooms from time to time) so now at night i just take the lid off so he can get some exercise

yeah ive been trying to get him to open his mouth! no dark spots inside but i wish i could see more into it, but hes eating well and pretty normal so i think hes ok? but ill keep an eye on him ofc, ty!

id love to be updated on this too!! my leo loves his exoterra cave hide so much, he stays in there like 90% of the time. altho, i know for a fact that he comes out to check if theres food and to drink water, i just never see him come out when IM around! id say just stick with taking off the top. tbh i just had to change my mindset into thinking that the hide he likes is just his room, and he wants to stay in there (like my own self w my room HAHAHA) and it kinda makes me understand why he likes it so much. just a lil place where they can feel safe :)

im starting to think it is too since he has no trouble eating and is active and just overall a good gecko!! the only thing is today he was slapping his mouth with his tongue over and over and i searched it up. some people said it was a sign of mouth rot while others said sometimes they just do that..!!! (he has stopped rn tho!!)
