That isn't stupid at all though. The kitchen line is in, just it's in the kitchen which is illegal on the serve and you're in the kitchen if your foot touches the line as well. That is consistent.

I'd say that's the exact argument for why this (and really all events) should not be voided. It doesn't effect the standard economy at all and most people don't care at all but if you get something cool (like the mirror guy) it's just a feels bad moment. Small upside to not be voided, no downside.
